Personal statement:

Big band music is similar to jazz, but is often performed solo and in combination with a brass section. A big band is a jazz music ensemble. An ensemble band is a type of jazz band. An ensemble includes the following types of performers: bassists and drummers; accordions and guitar; guitar and accordion; keyboards; organ and percussion; and keyboards and drum sets. An ensemble band consists of a number of musicians with different skills or expertise: guitarists and accordionists are one step removed from the big band's players.
