	2:32pm Listener Robert: The best free food pickings, however, is what I've been doing close to 30 years: mulberries off trees in their season. People plant mulberries, then find them a nuisance as they shed and stain. They're not the best tasting berries, but they're pretty good. Black caps similarly, slightly later, on creeper vines, but thorny. Often you can find patches of wild raspberries by the road too. Those taste great. About a month later than mulberries. And it gets you out in the fresh air and exercising. And getting ticks.

People plant mulberries, then find them a nuisance as they shed and stain. They're not the best tasting berries, but they're pretty good. Black caps similarly, slightly later, on creeper vines, but thorny. Often you can find patches of wild raspberries by the road too. Those taste great. About a month later than mulberries. And it gets you out in the fresh air and exercising. And getting ticks.
