Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from February 9, 2018 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Did you ever hear CCC's Feeling Prudence's Babas, a mashup of Dear Prudence, More Than A Feeling, and Baba O'Reilly?

Someone probably already pointed out that Lennon wrote Dear Prudence for Mia Farrow's sister. During the Beatles' visit to the Maharishi, she would not leave her cabin...

This reminds me of when a couple of fifth-grade friends and I went over to listen to the White Album at one of our Jehovah's Witness friend's home. We brought our own portable turntable because music was not allowed in that household. Why Don't We Do it In the Road was especially illicit in that setting.
