	12:22pm kta: When I graduated high school in upstate NY, the drinking age was 18. The day we graduated, we were across the street at the Old Coach, in our caps and gowns and the old guys were buying us drinks - as to welcome us into adulthood. I thought it was cool. And I think when you graduate high school, are now able to be charged with a felony, be drafted, be able to vote - well, all these things are entry into adulthood. I think you just have to teach your kids about the dangers and show them good habits, and let them know they can trust you if they come to with any questions or issues. (and there's a lot more than just booze to teach them.) I think young people at 18 are fully capable of being adults if you let them.

The day we graduated, we were across the street at the Old Coach, in our caps and gowns and the old guys were buying us drinks - as to welcome us into adulthood. I thought it was cool. And I think when you graduate high school, are now able to be charged with a felony, be drafted, be able to vote - well, all these things are entry into adulthood. I think you just have to teach your kids about the dangers and show them good habits, and let them know they can trust you if they come to with any questions or issues. (and there's a lot more than just booze to teach them.) I think young people at 18 are fully capable of being adults if you let them.
