You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

Missed the Sun Araw track. How is the new release?
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 9:21pm Dan B:

Aren't they just perfectly named? Sorry I forgot to enter the new song in the database all, this is the Lion of Ethiopian saxophone, Getatchew Mekuria with the Ex and friends. So good.
  Mon. 10/8/12 9:25pm duke:

Skydiver from Space tonight over New Mexico
  Mon. 10/8/12 9:30pm waxie:

greetings
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 9:31pm Dan B:

@?: The new Sun Araw is much better recorded and so there's a lot more nuance and detail, less of the echo-chamber layers of smoke thing. It's a direction he's been moving in for some time and I like it. A good step forward, I'd say.
  Mon. 10/8/12 9:31pm Skydiver:

greetings
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 9:32pm Dan B:

30 days hath june,

  Mon. 10/8/12 9:39pm trevor:

oh hey I just read white noise and now your show name makes sense in a new way. I'm sitting here having realized. Good stuff
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 9:49pm Dan B:

@trevor, aha! I had to dump the "toxic," though -- too biased.
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:18pm DJKurtG:

this is beautiful dan. thanks!
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:21pm Destroit:

I agree, cool stuff
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 10:22pm Dan B:

This is the song that got me way back in 1994. The Rustavi Choir's recording, on Elektra Nonesuch. I haven't ever even thought of kicking the habit since that moment.
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:24pm cosmic matrix:

thanks for reconnecting me to my heritage. resonant! whoah.
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:27pm cosmic matrix:

wow this one i can imagine a big oom-pa-pa band behind! yeeah baby
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:29pm cosmic matrix:

except it wasn't in 3/4... oom-pa?
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:33pm Parq:

I am not Georgian at all, but I am part Ukrainian, and eastern European harmony singing hits me where I live. This is turning out to be a great show.
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:37pm cosmic matrix:

i am singing along even though i have no idea what i am doing

WOW

THANKS SUPRULI ENSEMBLE!!!!!
  Mon. 10/8/12 10:38pm cosmic matrix:

Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 10:50pm Dan B:

@cosmic matrix, stan, monte, parq, thanks all for the comments! That was very overwhelming and fun. What a great time.
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 11:18pm Dan B:

Psychic TV blast from the past. Is it time yet to revisit Wax Trax?
  Mon. 10/8/12 11:23pm Destroit:

Yes Dan, revisit wax trax...always a good move. PTV to CTV is perfect.
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 11:25pm Dan B:

@Destroit, I should do an all-Wax-Trax show, but not announce it ahead of time. And play lots of Wax Trax scattered around for a few weeks before. I need to seduce people into realizing that they don't want to run screaming but instead want to party along with the Wax Trax
  Mon. 10/8/12 11:28pm Destroit:

Outstanding idea Dan, and sooo much material to craft such an event! I smell a Halloween show.
  Mon. 10/8/12 11:33pm Ike:

Listening and enjoying the show as usual. Mucho grande excelente.
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 11:35pm Dan B:

Hey Ike, thanks man
  Mon. 10/8/12 11:37pm Destroit:

I can't get enough of the dark ambient sounds. Love it.
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 11:43pm Dan B:

@Destroit, well you came to the right place my friend. This Karkowski piece is pretty incredible.
  Mon. 10/8/12 11:44pm Ike:

I also often listen to your show, but fail to comment for various dumb reasons, like because I don't want to take my hands of the wheel of the car or something stupid like that. So anytime I don't comment, imagine that I am commenting and giving thumbs-up the size of upended football stadiums.
Avatar Mon. 10/8/12 11:49pm Dan B:

@Ike, I like thinking of football fields that way
  Mon. 10/8/12 11:58pm Ike:

BANJOS! What a finale!
