Happy Tuesday, Tony and everyone!

Hello James, Psychspaniolos and Tony and all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:03pm Tony Coulter:

Hiya, Yvang!
Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:04pm Psychspaniolos:

Hello Yvang
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:10pm Yvang:

Next time I see a parrot on fire I'll know...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:11pm Tony Coulter:

... to be hopeful? That's wise of you....
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:19pm Tony Coulter:

By the way, I've got lots of '60s/'70s psych in queue for today's show ... for those who swing that way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:20pm Yvang:

That's a better version of the french anthem!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:27pm Tony Coulter:

I used to sing a snatch of the French national anthem whenever I put down a dish of food for my cats -- have no idea why. Alternately, I would sing a bit of Kurt Schwitters's Ursonate.
Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:32pm TomDash:

Hey Tony - tuning in for the 60s/70s psych on this raining Brooklyn day at the shop! Can't wait for the Canadian Prog Specials coming up too. Love those regional shows for a little deeper education!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:33pm Tony Coulter:

Greetings, TomDash! Glad you appreciate the idea of an immersion in Canadianness!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:35pm Tony Coulter:

It'll be just as much psych as prog -- at least for the Anglo Canadian show.
Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:38pm TomDash:

Great Tony! Truth be told, I lean a bit more psych in my mindful music immersions!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:44pm Tony Coulter:

Christ, just noticed that I wrote "Christ Stamey." Damn you, autofill.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:49pm Yvang:

Son, your sins are forgiven.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:50pm listener james from westwood:

This set is going especially nicely with the all-out rainy day we're having in northern NJ. (But then again, this show does originate in the PNW, so rain as a backing number is not alien to ya!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:50pm Tony Coulter:

Thank you, Lord Yvang.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:51pm Tony Coulter:

@ Listener James: Nothing but (kinda) sunny skies here today!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:53pm listener james from westwood:

Oh, that's gotta be a rare bit of all right! I lucked out during a trip there one April—almost a solid week of sun and 70°! Was told I scored big time vs. the usual weather.
  Tue. 9/25/18 12:55pm Dean:

I've been to Portland many times over the years and it has never rained, except for one time. This is because I traditionally went in late July, when it is supremely gorgeous. The one time it rained was during a visit when I met our esteemed DJ at a new record store opening.
  Tue. 9/25/18 12:57pm Dean:

Malo, not bad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 12:57pm Tony Coulter:

@ Dean: Ah yes, the opening of Musique Plastique!

Portland is actually *too* sunny during the month of August -- it can get to be like being in the Mojave Desert.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:03pm Tony Coulter:

Talking of Musique Plastique (well, I was), they made one of the greatest record store commercials ever: www.youtube.com...
  Tue. 9/25/18 1:08pm Dean:

That's a hoot! Best I can offer is a hodge-podge of videos from Down Home Records, which I visit with some frequency: http://www.downhomemusic.com/about-us/videos/

They had a parking lot sale this past Sunday. I picked up odds and ends: three Nonesuch LPs featuring contemporary classical music, all engineered by Marc Aubort, Quicksilver Messenger Service's Happy Trails, a Robert Palmer album...stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:11pm Yvang:

This commercial is sure possessed by the spirit of Brainticket!
  Tue. 9/25/18 1:25pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hey Tony n'all. Enjoying this set very much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:26pm Tony Coulter:

Glad to hear it, Kevin! (And: Greetings!)
Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:44pm Psychspaniolos:

very beautiful Tony
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:45pm Tony Coulter:

Thanks!!
Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:50pm Psychspaniolos:

!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:53pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Tony, I don't know how you know all the way from Oregon, but your show is the perfect soundtrack to this cold, rainy Vermont afternoon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:54pm Tony Coulter:

Wendy! It's sunny out here -- so I'm just being contrarian.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:55pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Whatever you're doing, Tony, it's working!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 1:59pm listener james from westwood:

"This is Nachum Segal reminding you to remember the past, live the present, and trust the future!"
Avatar Tue. 9/25/18 2:46pm Erella:

This is so great. I forget about YMG sometimes. Thank you
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 2:47pm Yvang:

I was thinking : this Fall of saigon band sounds a bit like Young Marble Giants...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 2:48pm Tony Coulter:

Erella! Hey there!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 2:57pm Tony Coulter:

See you next week everybody, eh?
Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 2:58pm Psychspaniolos:

An excellent show as always...thanks a lot Tony and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 2:58pm Yvang:

Yeah! Thanks Tony! Looking forward to the canadian journey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/25/18 3:00pm listener james from westwood:

Always a joy, Tony!
