Good afternoon!

Avatar 3:09pm βrian:

That's weird. My stream has Velveeta in it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm ɨkɛ:

@βrian, I would definitely get that checked out by a doctor! [rimshot]
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm tom from Glasgow:

love E2-E4
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Let's all go to Giant Land!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm Stanley:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm tom from Glasgow:

he wrote this piece to have something to entertain himself with on an internal flight in Germany the next day. set up the background loop and then just improvised all the guitar over the top in one take. an hour long. total legend
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm tom from Glasgow:

great article about it in the December 2011 issue of The Wire if you can find that somewhere
Avatar 3:27pm Chris from DC:

Yay, made it for Gottsching.
  3:28pm John from Florham Park:

@KFHP as long as we don’t get stepped on:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm Kat in Chicago:

I was wondering where I knew this from, and Wikipedia informs me that Carl Craig remixed it and Basic Channel remixed his remix!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Kat in Chicago:

So that's where the techno comes in.

Avatar 3:31pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

YAAAAASSSSSSSS all the clicky-stars forever.
Avatar 3:32pm northguineahills:

I thought you said, annual Gottching, as it seems to be played w/ Failure once a year (and I heartily approve).
Avatar 3:32pm khd:

  3:32pm John from Florham Park:

@Kat afternoon
Avatar 3:35pm northguineahills:

what khd said!
Avatar 3:36pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

This Gate LP is a thing of infinite yay.
Avatar 3:37pm Chris from DC:

This is oddly soothing.
Avatar 3:37pm khd:

pretty sure Fabio's show is where i first heard this Gate and it prompted me to pick it up, aweseom double lp
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Kat in Chicago:

I approve of the groove
  3:39pm Rail barge:

Brilliant flow among these first three tracks, DJ.
Avatar 3:41pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I think it was THIS VERY PROGRAM. A while back. The Lavender Head was spun as well as the one by Claudio Rocchi (Suoni Di Frontiera) ...

Bought the Gate immediately & finally scored the Rocchi this week. This can be an expensive show.
  3:43pm Rail barge:

Not that flow among and between tracks is necessary, nor that such flow must be consciously constructed.
  3:44pm John from Florham Park:

@Kat I agree nice groove makes me want to get up and dance
  3:45pm Spring ephemeral:

Well it is easy to buy the "wrong" version of Lavender Head by mistake
Avatar 3:49pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

[checks playlist search] .. good lord, that Strength Thru Failure was way back, nov.'17.

where do the time go.
  3:50pm Mike Wolf:

Fabio don’t forget Morley’s old Tanaka-Nixon Meeting with Danny (waitforit) Butt — proto-tekno from around the same time as Lavender Head. Morley!
  3:50pm Love Lavendar:

Cool theme, man. Tx Fabs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm chresti:

Hello Fabio and strong ones
Avatar 3:51pm northguineahills:

I got tix to Secret Project Robot for my wife tonight! (thx, Marcel)
  3:55pm Love Lavendar:

I heard there's a new theme park in Orlando, called "End Times"
  3:56pm Love Lavendar:

Now, that's a theme park I can get with
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm chresti:

So, they hand out gas masks and hazmat suits?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm ɨkɛ:

Just 55 more favorites to get "Mr. Giant Man" ahead of that weasel-licking sack of man-whore snot, Don Felder, and his incredibly stupid song! Come on people, clicky-star away!
  4:01pm Love Lavendar:

Yeah and there's lots of fire and brimstone, holographs of people being sucked up into the sky, shrieking, moaning, praying, babbling, separation of the good from the bad....
Avatar 4:01pm βrian:

But Mr. Giant Man makes young children cry.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm chresti:

I don't know the Don Felder song
Avatar 4:06pm northguineahills:

@Love Lavender: Oh, you mean the Holy Land Experience! (or FL in general).
Avatar 4:07pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Avatar 4:09pm northguineahills:

@Rev Rabbit: *starts whistling earworm*
Avatar 4:13pm northguineahills:

Can we get the X, Ex, Circle X, and Circle play together?
  4:14pm Love Lavendar:

@NGH--yeah, like that but I guess it would be more like a haunted house (though the Holy Land experience might be like that too...?)
Avatar 4:16pm Chris from DC:

NGH, maybe let Xex jump on the bill?
Avatar 4:16pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Just had lemon lavender bar, of which there was much urgent gnashing.
...& now - Breakfast w/ Francis Bacon...
Avatar 4:19pm TDK60:

Hello Fabio and strong ones...
Avatar 4:22pm northguineahills:

That works too, Chris, but, do we also let Oval come in as well....???
Avatar 4:22pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...eccentric suggestion...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Get that many bands together and they can sing "Row Row Row Your Boat" or other rounds.
Avatar 4:24pm Chris from DC:

Oval and maybe Ex Hex
  4:27pm Love Lavendar:

Hello RR63--"urgent gnashing"--I love it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm Carmichael:

And Cyrkle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm ɨkɛ:

@Chresti, wait, what? You are one of the most fortunate WFMU listeners alive if you have not been subjected to the immense, world-consuming mediocrity of that dim-witted Don Felder hog-slop. At first it seems unremarkably dopey, but over time and through repetition each week on FMU, it has become the mind-flayer, a deep dive into how something vaguely idiotic can wear away your soul until your mental teeth grind apart your brain's integrity. It wouldn't be notable if a *terrible* DJ played it every week, but everything else on Garbage Time is great, so it stands out even further by comparison.
Avatar 4:30pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...if Oval, what not Opal
...& @ that rate, Neil Diamond's @ the door...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm Carmichael:

The post-Felder tune is always imminently listenable, perhaps by comparison.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32pm Carmichael:

Muddy Waters would have been 106 today.
Avatar 4:35pm TDK60:

I read that Christ Stopped at Eboli book a long time back. About an anti-fascist in internal exile under Mussolini.
Avatar 4:36pm TDK60:

Happy birthday Mckinley Morganfield (M. Waters). Happy I got see him at least once!
Avatar 4:37pm Kelly Jones:

I was at Metrograph last night for 'Blade Runner'. Such a great little joint. Dinner and drinks before hand were f-a-b.
  4:43pm Spring ephemeral:

What the...is this a cover of Terry Riley?
  4:45pm Love Lavendar:

I wonder if eboli is related to ebola...
  4:45pm Love Lavendar:

Hey Kelly, what did you see?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49pm tom from Glasgow:

'Blade Runner'
  4:49pm Manana:

Good old Bosley Crowther was quite dismissive of the Bowery move. Preferred the Disney short about space travel on the same bill. Times change.
Avatar 4:49pm ron in S FL:

Love this mix!
  4:53pm Marc15:

Is Fabio here today?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56pm chresti:

Nice direction Fabio
  4:57pm Love Lavendar:

Loving this set. I want to go see BUDDY very badly.
Avatar 5:11pm TDK60:

Great sounds Fabio.
Avatar 5:13pm geezerette:

oooh, jazz!
Avatar 5:15pm northguineahills:

Avatar 5:17pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

(...actually - what you has when you take the Jazz - & open it up & look inside where no one is supposed to see yerknow...)
  5:23pm spodiodi:

Avatar 5:31pm geezerette:

RevRab, yep!!!
  5:33pm Toile S.T.:

Gotta admit I am really glad Clay will not be around to trash the last few minutes of this awesome set
Avatar 5:34pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm Marcel M:

Hey Fabio
Avatar 5:40pm TDK60:

Still with ya Fabio. Hope the studio booth is not too warm or cold and that the rug has been vacuumed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Marcel M:

The rug being vacuumed is just a bit too luxurious for FMU
Avatar 5:41pm geezerette:

...they have a rug?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43pm Marcel M:

Each DJ has to bring their own rug.
  5:43pm queems:

this sounds like jetskis on a loop
Avatar 5:46pm geezerette:

hahaha...:) i like DJs with or without a rug...

Fabio, theFabioulous!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm diciassette:

this playlist is inducing flow states
Avatar 5:51pm geezerette:

I could float on this all day, aerial view spectacular.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm common:

Bee. Utiful
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm Carmichael:

Irwin usually vacuums during his show.
Avatar 5:53pm geezerette:

Irwin is a tidy man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm chresti:

I think Fabio brings his own lounge chair
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Phillippe Bastille:

A Geico ad just autoplayed on a website I have open on another tab. Confused me just a bit.
Avatar 5:56pm geezerette:

And Fabio is strong.

(Chresti, I'm a magic 8 ball)
Avatar 5:57pm TDK60:

.thanks DJ Fabio. till then....
Avatar 5:58pm northguineahills:
