Secondy I would say, to each their own. I hate so much art criticism at this point that I stopped freelancing as far as reviews go. I like to write a more informative piece about something I appreciate rather than going in cold and being forced to pass judgment. I have agree more than ever with Zappa's statement, 'Writing about music is like dancing about architecture." I'm pretty sure he meant reviews/critiques being he read a shit-yon about music in his autodidactic exploration of composition and such. Anyhow...what do you make of that quote?

Secondy I would say, to each their own. I hate so much art criticism at this point that I stopped freelancing as far as reviews go. I like to write a more informative piece about something I appreciate rather than going in cold and being forced to pass judgment. I have agree more than ever with Zappa's statement, 'Writing about music is like dancing about architecture." I'm pretty sure he meant reviews/critiques being he read a shit-yon about music in his autodidactic exploration of composition and such. Anyhow...what do you make of that quote?

Roger Ebert was my movie man because even when I disagreed with him he seemed to be looking at all aspects of the work.
