Hi Duane. Love this Brian Auger, recall when it was fresh and new. I saw Brian live about 10 years ago; still *hot* on the organ.

Just bought that Holy Ghost! track on iTunes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm

Is this the same Kruder as in Kruder & Dorfmeister?
This track is so loose, yet tight.

I'm a simple man, I hear an 808 acid arpeggio, I clicky-star!

Gotta admit, you sent me to google on that one, NGH. Looks fantastic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm
Phillippe Bastille:

probably the better question to ask is "what time should you start your Thanksgiving drinking to deal with the obnoxious side of the family?" I'm thinking 3 o'clock today...
Avatar 12:42pm

@Phillippe: As a soup connoisseur, it's my favorite. But, have to ask my inl-aws in Mexico to send it to me as it's nearly impossible to find stateside (even the Mexis I meet at the tiendas here, have no idea what it is...
Avatar 12:44pm

(oddly enough, I found the first of many recipes from the Idaho Potato commission!!!!!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@NGH I'm curious if I can find it anywhere around here. We have some pretty big central american enclaves around here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@NGH lol! I was just showing my wife the monthly email I get from IPC. No idea how I ever got on their mailing list, but they have some great recipes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm
Phillippe Bastille:

just as in the pas few weeks

As they say in "WineSpeak" They - not me - As they say in "WineSpeak" I am getting hints of ESG -

I started that sentence before the obvious...
Avatar 12:50pm

@Phillipe: just 40km south of here, is where all of the race horses for the KY Derby etc are raised. So, they hire cheap illegal Central American labor to care for the equines. They have many Latino supermarkets, I've only found xuitlacoche at one, at it was terrible compared to what I get from Mexico (look for the canned variety).

This year just an organic turkey for me, my wife and 8 year old son. We cooked a turkey last year and had frozen turkey for 3 months! We will have a couple veggies and deserts.

@morphe I hear ya (I think...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm

So you're near Ocala? I was down there for work a few years ago at the SAR school
Avatar 12:52pm

@WN: I'm having a halal T-giving (via sister-in-law, her and her sisters are secular, but their parents are religious). Looking forward to great Guyanese and Colombian food (her sister's husband's family is Colombian).

Yes, Phillippe, I'm in Gainesville.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@wild neal Yeah, we'll be in the same leftover boat. My wife cooks the same amount for 4 as she does for 14. There are only 6 of us this year, so the tupperware is going to get a workout.

Duane, needed this today...THANXZ a TON!
Avatar 12:55pm

Ok, how have I've never heard this Roy Ayers?

P. Bastille: Living in Madrid, but I keep a bike en un cave and un lit en un atelier en r.Daval. so peraps we meet one day?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm
Passaic River Blues:

@NGH: that mélange of different cuisines for Thanksgiving sounds fantastic! Jealousy levels rising!

Happy "Adult Christmas", Duane, and everyone. I heard you use that apt description of the upcoming holiday this time last year - I've been using it ever since! And, oh yeah, great show, too!
Avatar 1:03pm

@PRB: and my family is a milquetoast as it comes, so, it's a welcome change.

@Morphe: Spanglish es impresionante, como hablo con mi mujer (and she says I suck at it).

Phillippe Bastille:

@morphe Sorry, I live in the U.S.. I'm not even French, just using a nom de plume for social media. Sounds like it would be fun, though.
Avatar 1:06pm

@Phillippe: NGH is my nom de musique/peu importe
Avatar 1:09pm

happy thanksgiving Duane and Train! thanks for the music (and the adorable pics of Boogie on instagram).

PB and NGH: Morphe is my street name from Bklyn.
My nom de plume is Otto Van Der Hout(dutch - Otto from the Woods) my other is Ekster (Dutch for Magpie) -2 years cleaning toilets/offices in Amsterdam.. Till Clay on Monday???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@NGH I invented Phillippe for a prank on some friends. Created a web site for his winery, married him off to a SF 49ers cheerleader, made him an email account, etc. Even printed some labels for his wine and put them on a couple bottles and sent them to one of my friends. While all that was going on, one of my contracts wouldn't permit us to use our real names for social media, so Phillippe proliferated.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@Morphe Otto Van Der Hout is great!
Avatar 1:21pm

Mine came to me in a random instant, and I rationalized it w/ my love of geography and history, and the need to not be associated w/ the south and for some pastoralness (didn't make sense then, still doesn't).

Phillippe Bastille:

all right, this Chrome tracking crap is getting out of hand! Just looked at my twitter feed and the second tweet that popped up a wine distributor ad. Coincidence? I think not.
Avatar 1:30pm

@Phillippe; (shite, you're correct, 18 years later....)

Ekster was actually bestowed upon me beccause, even to this day, I find all types of stuff on the street - mostly while on the bike. My Dutch friends were struck by my sight (fading now at 57) and my fortune: money, watches gold/silver chains, lost toys - Magpies are known for finding/stealing
shiny objects. Hence Ekster Now -a -days - mobiles and wallets and right handed gloves people lose while getting out of taxis. I run a free of charge return service...
I do not accept rewards but people have gone out of their way to thank me.. That is too long a stories.. Tot Ziens..
Avatar 1:37pm

Que chido, Morphe! Gracias, Duane.. Disfrutas tus vacaciones, amigos! Leaving work early!
