Avatar 12:48pm Wild Neil||Peace All:

I had a brief conversation with a man who was an early WFMU dj. He said the first song he ever heard on WFMU was Rotary Connection. It might have been 1967. It MIGHT HAVE been WFMU's first song as WFMU as we currently know it (eclectic music). Thoughts? I met the guy here on a message board. His profile picture is a real cherry vintage American car. Sorry, that's all I got.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm JtotheK:

wow, been a while since i listened to this BT Express LP. great track.
Avatar 12:50pm PKNY:

@JtotheK - was just thinking the same thing! Back when dollar bins were still around, I'd see this record all the time, and it has more heat than a lot of high-prices rares.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm adampsyche:

Avatar 12:52pm northguineahills:

The first song I heard on WFMU online was '98 was either Ligeti or Penderecki.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm JtotheK:

@PKNY - that BT LP still shows up in dollar bins around these parts!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Passaic River Blues:

@adampsyche: the gall!
Avatar 12:55pm northguineahills:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Passaic River Blues:

Avatar 12:56pm northguineahills:

Mathew Herbert was the first real date I went to w/ my now wife....
Avatar 12:58pm Wild Neil||Peace All:

@NGH-I was smoking pot in 1984 or 85 on a country road, listened to WFMU first time. Rural NW NJ in Warren County, 5 miles or so from Blairstown.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm blee:

what PRB said. clicky starred them tracks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm JtotheK:

@Duane re: Rotary holiday record -- yes, their version of 'Silent Night' always raises eyebrows when I play it for visitors.
Avatar 1:02pm PKNY:

Any Xmas record where they sing about walking in on Santa while he's high on mistletoe is alright with me!
Avatar 1:03pm northguineahills:
