Listener comments!

  3:02am karankeeone:

Come on...what's going on...play something already...please???
  3:24am DaveinPA:

What wasn't going on? I missed it!
Avatar 3:29am Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, Ms. Crow. Along for the next while, and grateful for the chance.
Avatar 3:30am CarolCrow:

Good morning karankeeone, Dave & Sem! Happy to have you all here for the ride:)
  3:40am DaveinPA:

Hello everyone! I'm making Water Kefir!
Avatar 3:45am CarolCrow:

Dave, what is Water Kefir?
  3:47am DaveinPA:

Apparently you can culture Kefir on sugar water instead of dairy product - this is a new thing I am experimenting with, for probiotic reasons.
  3:48am DaveinPA:

It's kind of like sourdough bread - once you get the process going, you can keep making more batches from the same culture that you keep in jars in the fridge.
Avatar 3:54am CarolCrow:

@ DaveinPA: Sounds interesting! A lot of work, though, I imagine. Good luck with your experiment:)
  3:57am Bobby:

I am with you!
Avatar 3:58am CarolCrow:

Hey there, Bobby:)
  4:07am DaveinPA:

@CarolCrow - it's rather easy, actually - it's mostly down time. You mix warm water, sugar, and the packet of grains to get them started, then set aside for a few days in a warm spot. Then you make a new sugar water mix and put the grains into that, and in another few days you have drinkable kefir. You can also do a secondary ferment with fruit if you want a more bubbly / flavored drink.

Good morning everyone.
  4:16am DaveinPA:

Hello jkeigh!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19am jkeigh:

Interesting experiment you have going on there Dave. I'm actually going to pick up some kefir water from Shoprite when I go out after the show. I wish I had the time to make stuff like that at home but if I did it'd probably be beer first though
Avatar 4:20am CarolCrow:

Good morning, jkeigh !
  4:22am DaveinPA:

This is the first time I've tried to do this; it seems very non-committal, time wise. Getting started took about as much time as making a pot of coffee (which I stopped drinking a few weeks ago).
  4:24am Mike tp:

good morning Carol!lots of fine. sounds!!! coming from the fmu garden!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26am jkeigh:

I tried giving up coffee but being that I do work at a coffee shop and love the taste of it made the attempt a bit difficult.
Avatar 4:27am CarolCrow:

Morning Mike! Thank you! :) :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28am jkeigh:

Love Max Richter!! I just got Sleep a while back and spent an entire Saturday morning and early afternoon listening to it.
Avatar 4:32am CarolCrow:

@ jkeigh: That sounds divine:)
  4:46am Bobby:

Good night/morning everyone. See you next moon.
Avatar 4:48am CarolCrow:

Night Bobby! Thanks for tuning in :) :)
Avatar 5:14am Sem Chumbo:

Thank you for the music and excellent company, Ms. Crow. See you next time.
Avatar 5:16am CarolCrow:

Hey Sem, thanks so much for listening! Have a good morning:) :) :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21am Ken From Hyde Park:

Good morning, Carol and listeners.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23am Stanley:

Good morning Carol.
That last track reminds me that Flash Strap has a three hour dub extravaganza over on the Drummer for me to catch up with.
Avatar 5:27am CarolCrow:

Good morning Ken!
Avatar 5:29am CarolCrow:

Good morning Stanley! That Flash Strap should be a dub-i-licious delight! I, too, will have to listen:) Thanks for mentioning it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:35am Stanley:

I loves me some dub.
Loving this morning's selection, too.
Avatar 5:38am CarolCrow:

Hey everyone, if you like the stuff on the Wire Tapper collections, check out the interview with Derek Walmsley & Sukhdev Sandhu on the occasion of the 400th issue of The Wire magazine, which was aired on Daniel Blumin's June 23, 2017 show: www.wfmu.org...
Avatar 5:38am CarolCrow:

Glad you're liking, Stanley!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43am Stanley:

I imagine that's how old Giorgio was when he did this.
But it's stretching it a bit too far?
