Listener comments!

  3:04pm βrian:

Everything has gone black.
  3:11pm Mr Donut:

Love the art!
  3:24pm suea:

i was afraid the sly-fest meant someone died
  3:25pm Cecile:

awesom gif, Jeff.
  3:30pm Droll:

The term "cover" used to refer to markets back when "race records" wouldn't sell to white audiences. Producers would have black and white bands play a good song to "cover" both markets.
Avatar 3:33pm DJ KG:

thanks, droll!

hi, everybody!
  3:37pm yayson:

its all the songs i love at once
  3:42pm G:

Oooh, the all-italics playlist returns! (at least in IE) That means at 6:01 all these comments will be italicized, too -- it's kinda like the opposite of turning into a pumpkin at midnight...
  3:44pm JT:

woo can't wait for Happy Valley Band to start!
  3:54pm northguineahills:

had a bit of a nap there, what did I miss?
  3:56pm northguineahills:

It was Bryce's fault, then again last week I fell asleep when he was playing 70s Anthony Braxton.
  3:59pm Looms:

@NGH: it happens to me sometimes but I usually blame it on the sofa ;)

Nice work David & Kurt!
  4:01pm Cheri Pi:

I hope albini is listening.
  4:03pm northguineahills:

It was the sofa's fault this time as well.
  4:04pm Carmichael:

OK, hi Kurt and Friday peeps.
  4:04pm northguineahills:

ahhh, it's haeyoung....
  4:07pm Caryn:

I love the idea behind the Bubblyfish album.
  4:07pm Andrew Waterloo:

Good afternoon
  4:10pm Caryn:

Lovely cover...
  4:17pm Minnesota Jeff:

Hellooooooo, helllooo again.
  4:20pm Caryn:

Oh lord, it's Laamanen...
  4:22pm Caryn:

You know, Laamanen was cool in the 70s as Gulliver. But this is his post-"Finland's Got Talent" stuff, so I'm ambivalent.
  4:22pm still b/p:

Slow dancin' and sending the hip out wiiiide.
  4:23pm Caryn:

The Finnish name of the track means "Like the Night". And the album title? "My Way".
  4:25pm still b/p:

I've only seent he Target lady on SNL once or twice, but Cilla is sounding like her.
  4:25pm Carmichael:

Is this Cilla Black, Kurt? Oh, and foreign covers are great. Love to hear them translate the lyrics into an awkward language.
  4:26pm Mr Donut:

Finally some Van Halen!
  4:26pm Minnesota Jeff:

  4:26pm Z:

So Adam Lambert is singing with Queen this summer. Actually, he sounds great with them.
  4:28pm Caryn:

Ah, Cilla... from Cavern Club coatcheck girl to singer to dating game host. But she had a hell of a voice.
  4:30pm Mr Donut:

So are HVB playing a bunch of covers all at the same time?
  4:30pm Droll:

Please tell me you're about to post pictures of them playing. This I have to SEE.
Avatar 4:33pm DJ KG:

There will be video posted later! Sorry I haven't been more responsive today. It's a little chaotic!
  4:54pm Katherine in Seattle:

Happy Birthday Kurt (a little early)
Avatar 4:56pm DJ KG:

aw, thanks...
  4:58pm Barney:

I'm trying to convince my 5-year old that this is what Elvis really sounds like.
  4:59pm Katherine in Seattle:

  4:59pm Mr. Lowry:

Take it to the bridge!
  5:02pm PBS:

HVB, covers glee!
We're the Elvis family!
  5:08pm Droll:

HVB, [Clap clap clap clap!!!]
  5:16pm BSI:

  5:24pm Carmichael:

Crazy Jumping Jesus, Kurt, where do you find this stuff?!? I'm actually a little jealous ...
  5:38pm dale:

  5:38pm moose:
