  3:06pm G:

Joe Tex's biggest hit, if I recall (he died recently) -- made 2 or 3 on the charts. 1972 is only forty years ago, but "Date Rape Lite" lyrics just weren't politically incorrect yet then...
  3:07pm 37:

can't beat joe tex for a start... and lol coxhill to follow!!
  3:07pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Oh nos! It's Friday The Thirteenth! Again!
  3:08pm Braveness23:

I love it! But all the birds outside are trying to kill themselves right now.
  3:10pm bruceleh:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Liz B.:

Hey Cecile, checked out the flash stream on this end and everything seems a-ok. Anyone else having problems with the flash stream?
  3:50pm Cheri Pi:

flash ok on my end
  3:53pm kat330:

Carpenter's "Assault on Precinct 13" soundtrack would fit right in.
  3:55pm Otis:

love carpenter, assalt is his minimalist best.
  3:57pm hamburger:

nilbog is spooky boogie!
  3:59pm kat330:

Goblin spooky.
  4:03pm Otis:

goblin soundtrack for Suspiria is greta and also has those whispers and cha-cha sounds.
  4:03pm Cheri Pi:

Grails are badass,
  4:04pm kat330:

@Otis: Suspiria, a fave in our household.
  4:05pm BSI:

  4:08pm Cecile:

Priest from their cheezball period.
  4:08pm Cecile:

Painkiller is pretty great.
  4:10pm BSI:

Saw 'em during their Painkiller tour. It was even over-the-topper than I expected. And I expected over-plus-plus.
  4:11pm Cheri Pi:

this song is dripping with the cheeziness of evil
  4:12pm Otis:

suspiria beats the crap out of jason, sorry djkg! assault on friday 13.
  4:12pm Cecile:

Like nachos of evil.
  4:13pm BSI:

nacho horns aplenty.
  4:13pm Cheri Pi:

  4:14pm Otis:

  4:14pm Droll:

Cecile, Your review of Painkiller almost made me crack a rib laughing.
  4:14pm Cheri Pi:

hahaha Cecile I dedicate this popeye-rock song to you my love.
  4:15pm Cecile:

hahahaha, aw thanks.
  4:15pm Cheri Pi:

akshully this is popeye-lite
  4:16pm BSI:

In my defense, it was a weird outdoor festival in upstate NY. Motorhead was also present. Thus, my conscience is clean...
  4:16pm BSI:

"you know it's summer when they're rocking in Weedsport..."
  4:17pm kat330:

Support troops have arrived I see. Catch you on the archive, Kurt! :)
  4:17pm Cecile:

more like Pappy...
BSI, I have seen Rob Halford once and Priest once.
THey are awesome.
  4:18pm Cheri Pi:

there's no shame in loving nacho-y Priest.
  4:18pm Cecile:

now I want Glenn Tipton to bring me nachos. :/
  4:19pm BSI:

Live, t'was much better than I was expecting.
Motorhead, naturally, was nacho-free.
both were a groove.
  4:20pm Carmichael:

Good afternoon Kurt and everyperson.
  4:20pm Cecile:

Downing and Tipton are a guitar duo par excellence, and Halford always puts on a great show. And can still sing like a badass.
  4:20pm trolly mctrollerson:

nacho talk make me hungry. tho. hunger games. did not comprehend.
  4:21pm Cheri Pi:

Speaking of, Kurt should play us some Flying Hat Band. It's not F13 w/o Downer Rock Genocide ...
  4:22pm BSI:

HOLY CRAP. A brief search for that Weedsport NY gig yielded nacho greatness.
  4:22pm Cecile:

  4:23pm Cheri Pi:

has anyone seen this video for "French Black Metal - the worst video clip EVER?" It's not scary at all in fact it looks like Fadade filmed the whole thing on the toity in fron of a green screen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaV_tTuhQbc
  4:24pm Cecile:

Thank you BSI. Many cosmic nacho vibes coming your way.
  4:24pm Cheri Pi:

mmm nachos.
  4:25pm Carmichael:

@BSI: I thought your preferences were of the carrot cake variety.
  4:25pm Droll:

BSI, You know plenty of nachos were served at the Cayuga County Fairgrounds. And warm flat beer in plastic cups.
  4:27pm Cecile:

BSI. thank you for the Fadades vids. OMG. Hysterical.
  4:27pm BSI:

@Carm: ferret cake & parrot cake works as well. Though the dog is trying to get me on a bumblebee kick. Hard to explain.
  4:29pm Cheri Pi:

He's totally yelling for the wife to bring him a roll, as his shirt-sleeve TP holder/ javelin is empty, damnit!!
  4:30pm Cheri Pi:

I had carrot cake w/ lunch today.
  4:31pm Inner Ear Detour:

Hey, Kurt. Did you know about this "Sound Research Summit," going on soon at the Eyebeam Art+Tech Ctr. in Chelsea? I can't go, so would you please invite some of them to come on your show to talk about it. It sounds good.
  4:35pm Cecile:

I saw the Residents on the tour. Amazing.
  4:41pm Sean Daily:

If you won't kill them, Mommy, kiiiilll uuuummm, then can I at least go out and kill tonight?
  4:48pm emo kid:

elliott smith -13? I know it's know Friday 13, 13, but it's emo 13, 13
  4:50pm still b/p:

When Sean Daily goes on a bloody lakeside rampage, the soundtrack doesn't go,
"Schee hee hee Khaa haa haa..."
It goes,
"Woo hoo hoo!"
..at least when he's first on the slaylist comments.
  4:55pm adam:

Listening to mm, reading the new issue of stn!
  5:09pm Cecile:

I have never seen Friday the 13th, but I heard the synopsis while I was picking strawberries that summer one weekend for pay. It was hilarious listening to the burnouts further down the field summarize it to each other. i think the movie could never live up to it.
  5:10pm Cecile:

The, Bart, the!
  5:18pm northguineahills:

I've had this playing at a rather loud volume while napping. Make interesting fodder for dreams.
Avatar 5:19pm DJ KG:

sweet dreams, nguinea!
  5:23pm northguineahills:

Obviously hadn't woken up fully judging from my grammar.
Avatar 5:25pm DJ KG:

oh, i thought the second sentence was a command!
  5:30pm trolly mctrollerson:

this culver track is amazing - it kind of has that lofi tension of the social network score... two years earlier TRENT REZNOR - google that narcissistic prick!
5:32pm Mark T in Central VT:

  5:36pm G:

5:46pm Mark T in Central VT:

Though not the same but always also think of for Jason is Gunnar Hansen and Leather Face. There is a funny movie with him in cameo about a film crew trying to make a movie and Gunnar is in it as a deranged owner of the house and property where they are trying to make the horror film.
  5:50pm trolly mctrollerson:

jANUARY (j for JOY!)
  5:55pm Carmichael:

Joe Tex Friday the 33 and a third.
5:55pm Mark T in Central VT:

Anyone remember what that movie was with Gunnar Hansen and making the horror movie? I can't remember. But it was kind of like a behind the scenes documentary of the making of this horror movie. Guess I'll check Imdb.
5:57pm Mark T in Central VT:

Gunnar Hansen kept saying "I don't give a fuck I'm just gonna tear the mutherfucker down and rebuild it!" " wanna beer!" he says
  5:58pm SiHV:

Loved the Culver.
  5:58pm Carmichael:

Thank you, Kurtster. Enjoy your haunting weekend.
