Hello from Greece

@Sokratis, greetings from across the seas! For my indulgence, please describe (in as much detail as you can) what kind of terrain you live in...one of the Isles? Small or large town? I'm so curious because I haven't been able to visit that country (yet!!)

Hi there, missed the Sevilla Ensemble, I must go back and listen. I saw/heard an amazing flamenco singer and guitarist in Seville. It was so wonderful, at this place called something like La Carboneria. I'll have to go back and listen to the archive. Thanks, Bethany

Unfortunately i live in the suburbs of Athens (Nikaia) you can be by the sea in 10 minutes or so but u can also go to a mountain for a hike in 20 minutes. The terrain is mix and match a bit of everything. But most of the mainland is mountainous. The same goes for the isles most if not all of them.

@Bethany for us its like a medium city of approximately 200000 people. You should visit it worth it (athens and the isle i mean)

(That makes me think of the book 'Assembling California' which is really about the Geology of the Earth; unique things happened to create the Mediterranean...)

Thanks for the imagery!! Greece is at the top of my list of places to travel to as soon as humanly (i.e., financially) possible :)

Ah, well today was a splendid spring day! We're feeling the warmth of the sun in all its glory after a very chilly month of March. (February was warmer!) Trees are budding and flowering and the color green makes a striking contrast against the background of New York City skyscrapers and pavement. Travel north by only as few as 10 miles and you're in hillls and trees and the Hudson River Valley - a paradise in and of itself.
