Seen Angel Olson last Friday.
But she was unhappy with the sound in a packed much too small venue.
So she sang a bit flat.
But this album keeps on drilling into my mind.

Hi gang. Been listening but a bit on the busy side now at work.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:25am
HarktheUmpire:

@ Guido: I saw her the day after in Berlin in a theater.
She sounded great, as did the band, but I really don't like seeing bands with drummers in theaters. I don't get the point really. It was even worse with Yo La Tengo in the Volksbühne: great concert, but there's something absurd about a whole audience sitting in comfy chairs watching Ira Kaplan going berserk on guitar.

Doug C.:

I think we need to have cameras on the DJ's so we know they're not "Pulling a Joe" and using robots to broadcast. Defeat Skynet now by staying vigilant! First they take your job, next they start programming the radio station.

Accadde, you should read it like akkaddeh, it means "it happened in Harlem". The second attempt was the right one :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36am
Guido from Cologne:

@HarktheUmpire
I agree absolutely! It is annoying!
I had that with Kaki King when she was on "junior" tour with rock-band.

The Cologne gig suffered from being much too packed.
That was a bit unexpected, because of a story in SPEX magazine.
We heard later, the Concrt was planned as kind of "private for friends".

And the band had no own monitors, which were desperately needed in Angel's case.
