Hi Irene, hello one and all, it's Opening Day, whoo-hoo!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:03pm drumsoverbogota:

Good morning! (well, at least over here it's still morning)
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:04pm mariano:

Hi Irene, Sean, Drums, and all!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:05pm common:

great pic, irene! hello all!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:06pm Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, Irene. UTC-4 here and dull, grey, rainy, cold...wish our sky would look that <----- one.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:07pm mariano:

Pretty grey here in NYC, actually... where are you, Sem?
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:08pm KP:

Good afternoon, Irene
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:10pm Sem Chumbo:

@mariano: Nova Scotia.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:14pm mariano:

Oh wow, Sem! Never been but a couple of friends of mine went a few years ago and really dug it.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:16pm Van in DC:

Nice pic. Hi Irene and lovers of great music.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:17pm Sem Chumbo:

@mariano. NS has its charms:)
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:20pm Irene Trudel:

Hi everybody! Glad to have you all here. Today's picture is the view outside my apartment window with a particularly wild sunset.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:24pm mariano:

Wow, Irene, that's intense: I would have sworn it was a Photoshop filter!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:33pm Irene Trudel:

Hard to believe, but I see a lot of great sunsets, probably fueled by New Jersey's chemical emissions across the Hudson River, which is not far from me. The photo is unenhanced.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:36pm Mike East:

I see some great sunsets out my office window looking out across the hudson, too, though I'm south of you. usually more orange than red. that one is a beauty.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:39pm Sean in Bristol UK:

yes, this is lovely photo
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:42pm Irene Trudel:

I'm constantly running for the camera at dusk. You just gotta catch it at the right moment.
  Mon. 3/31/14 12:43pm blee:

Wow, love Sabina's sultry voice.
  Mon. 3/31/14 12:53pm ъїιι:

Has to say this LZ song has run through my head more than any other
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 12:53pm Andrew Waterloo:

I miss seeing sunsets over lake Superior. We had a cottage on the lake and the sun would set between two islands on the horizon.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:01pm Van in DC:

I'm glad that FMU has really been playing a lot of Marissa lately. Love her!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:03pm Irene Trudel:

@VAn, Marissa Nadler is back in NYC in early June. I'm hoping to get her into the studio for a live set if we can work it out.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:06pm Van in DC:

That would be awesome!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:12pm Sean in Bristol UK:

thank you Irene, got the game on mute, it looks a lovely day in the New York area. I get back into Bristol the afternoon of the 13th, straight into a softball game that afternoon so will check the concert out if I am not too shattered!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:17pm Irene Trudel:

Sounds Good Sean! I think you're a little nutty for all that travel in the name of enjoying baseball games but I totally understand. Enjoy the trip, and I hope to see you in NYC tomorrow!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:20pm Sean in Bristol UK:

The forecast for Wednesday evening is looking a bit chilly, I think i had better wrap up.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:25pm SeanG:

Cool Marathon pictures Irene!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:26pm mariano:

Oh wow, Sean in Bristol, coming to NYC? Awesome! Just as it's starting to warm up a bit. Have fun!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:28pm Sean in Bristol UK:

Thanks Mariano, dreading the journey tomorrow, 2.50 am coach to London Heathrow in the morning, 8 hour flight getting to New York at 11.40.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:30pm mariano:

Ugh. Hate Heathrow. Of course NYC's three airports are nothing to write home about, as you know, though La Guardia still has that cool 30s Marine Air Terminal.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:32pm Sean in Bristol UK:

@Mariano, Heathrow is akin to being in the 7th circle of hell!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:37pm Sean in Bristol UK:

@Irene, three zip, Mets
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:40pm Andrew Waterloo:

that Matt Berry album was a bit of a surprise
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:40pm Van in DC:

Oh, just noticed that the Artist & Track entries have apparently played musical chairs for the Marissa track :)
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:45pm Irene Trudel:

Thanks Sean! Can't watch the game while I'm on the air. I'll watch the rerun tonight.

@ Andrew, Matt Berry has some really great songs, in addition to being a comedian (not too many people know him in the US).

@Van, just fixed it. Was wondering why it didn't pop up in our database!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:51pm Brian in UK:

@Sean, have a safe trip. Trust you bought a return ticket!!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:52pm Andrew Waterloo:

Matt Berry is probably more recognized for The It Crowd
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:53pm Sean in Bristol UK:

@Mariano, thanks, yes return trip which will wipe me out for at least a week!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:53pm Van in DC:

Yeah Sean, safe travels! I'll be doing the same trip in reverse, but from DC, a little later on :)
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:54pm Sean in Bristol UK:

@Van, cool, when are you coming over?
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:55pm Van in DC:

September. I have a ticket to see a certain living legend icon of mine.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:56pm InBrkly:

I like Matt Berry best in Garth Marenghi's Dark Place.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:56pm mariano:

@Sean in Bristol: I think you mean @Brian in UK about the return ticket; stay as long as you want far as I'm concerned!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:57pm Sean in Bristol UK:

@Van, you got a ticket, wow, which date are you going?
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:58pm Van in DC:

September 10! I am deliriously excited
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:58pm Sean in Bristol UK:

@Mariano, I love being in the States, I have a real fondness for all things Americana, coming back here is always painful.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 1:59pm Brian in UK:

@Van it will always be the Hammersmith Odeon to me. She is sensible playing there as it is not an aircraft hanger, just an old cinema.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:00pm Van in DC:

Yes! That will also be forever its name for me as well!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:01pm Sean in Bristol UK:

Mine is on the 30th of September, incredibly fortunate to get a ticket. My only gripe is that the tour isn't extensive enough but I am hoping Kate will get to love touring again.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:02pm Brian in UK:

Van is having to sleep with incopads. Sorry about the product placement. So pleased for you Van.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:02pm Van in DC:

yes, incredibly fortunate. I struggled mightily well past the official sell out point. It was around 40 minutes in that I managed to snag one. I was quite paniced
  Mon. 3/31/14 2:02pm KP:

This is gorgeous
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:03pm Van in DC:

yes, this is really nice...
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:03pm Chris from DC:

Nice to hear this Carol of Harvest in heavy rotation.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:05pm Sean in Bristol UK:

I snagged a couple at the start of the sale, spoke to my friend in London to see how he was getting on and was stunned to hear that the whole lot had sold out in under ten minutes.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:05pm mariano:

Have a good afternoon, everyone! Gotta run. Thanks for another great show, Irene!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:06pm Van in DC:

It was indeed rough. I was ready at precisely 5:30 AM our time, with all 4 sites up on multiple devices and kept at it...it was a bloodbath :)
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:10pm Sean in Bristol UK:

Gentle Giant, fab
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:10pm Droll:

. o O ( Lurkers love Gentle Giant! )
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:14pm Mike East:

we sure do, Droll!
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:32pm Chris from DC:

33 minutes to the first pitch in Baltimore, not that I'm counting.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:34pm Van in DC:

I follow Texas in the AL, Atlanta in the NL. They're both going on now...and me stuck at work
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:34pm Sean in Bristol UK:

@Chris, I am heading to Camden Yards on the 11th, this ball park has been on my radar for quite awhile, really looking forward to catching the game there.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:37pm Chris from DC:

Very cool Sean. Ironic that I live so close and haven't been for a bit. Great place to see a game, though, enjoy.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:40pm lurker:

Hi Irene, and all. Great show, but i'm off now.
Thank you.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:43pm glenn:

i was getting that rory block feeling for a moment there.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:45pm Van in DC:

Ouch. The Rangers got grand slammed
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:47pm glenn:

good. i hate them almost as much as the yankees.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:49pm Sean in Bristol UK:

this is cracker of a track, PaleAle hop
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:52pm Irene Trudel:

Thanks for tuning in everybody! Catch you next week.

Thanks, Irene.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 2:59pm Sean in Bristol UK:

Thanks Irene, a wonderful selection of music, see you later.
Avatar Mon. 3/31/14 3:08pm Jeff:

Oh, yeah - thanks for playing that Eddie Lawrence / Old Philosopher piece. I assume that was a particular nod to him he because he died yesterday at 95. A nice piece in the Times:
