You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

@Tom, thx

evening Dan!
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 9:33pm Dan Bodah:

Hi @MK what's the news
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 9:37pm ottovonbqe:

Dan - I saw the 'Jips last week!
  Mon. 11/18/13 9:38pm PB:

I saw Wooden Shjips last Wednesday at Mercury Lounge. They were great. Love this band.
  Mon. 11/18/13 9:40pm PB:

Moon Duo is pretty damn good as well.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 9:41pm Dan Bodah:

I could see these guys converting classic rock fans to drone without even having to suck to do it. Imagine stadiums full of this sound and 10000 boomers lighting up.
  Mon. 11/18/13 9:42pm PB:

The crowd was actually noticeably older than most shows I go to these days. I'm usually the oldest person by a good 20 years. But then again the band members themselves are not spring chickens. Greatest psych rock band going.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 9:43pm ottovonbqe:

Yeah, gateway drone.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 9:46pm Dan Bodah:

Desert Heat = Steve Gunn & Trucinski with Cian Nugent. This record kills.
  Mon. 11/18/13 9:48pm PB:

Speaking of shows last week, did anyone else go see MBV last week. I take it Kevin Shields said the Tuesday show would be their last show for quite some time. It was also a great show.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 9:50pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

I saw the Boston show. In hindsight, I can't believe I was ever on the fence about it. It was so much fresher than I expected. And much louder.
  Mon. 11/18/13 9:51pm PB:

Yeah, I had the earplugs in from the first note. It was a very interesting show.
  Mon. 11/18/13 9:56pm PB:

50 years, wow. I have very vague memories of watching JFK's funeral as 5 year old boy.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 9:57pm Marmalade Kitty:

late supper with airborne event! nice!
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 9:58pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

My earplugs were alarmingly ineffective.

Why would anyone with a Facebook account care about government surveillance?
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 10:13pm Dan Bodah:

@Droll, can you predict the answer to that question for me? I mean, based on my prior posts?
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 10:15pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

I've been trying to remember what this song was for weeks. Thanks, Dan!

Airborne Event aims to please
  Mon. 11/18/13 10:23pm PB:

In The Last Waltz Robbie Robertson recounts a great story about The Band playing in one of Jack Ruby's nightclubs in Dallas in their very early days.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 10:25pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

I just heard someone recently on the radio talking about how he decided once that he was going to follow Camper Van Beethoven around the country and somehow insinuated himself in with them. Then a pre-recorded David Lowery aircheck was on the local station (WMFO) this morning. Now this.

What am I to do with these events?
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 10:28pm Marmalade Kitty:

I'm always inquisitive about what it was like living in the 60's.. Unfortunately folks can't remember much :P
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 10:28pm Dan Bodah:

Hey, that was my guest Camden Joy that insinuated himself with them.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 10:32pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

Yes! That was it! So this isn't so much a cosmic series of coincidences. Thanks again, man behind the curtain.

That was the show when you played Julian Cope's "The Armenian Genocide," which I've sent to many of my fellow Armenians, all of whom are in awe.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 10:36pm Dan Bodah:

@Pete, yes!
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 10:38pm Ken From Hyde Park:

More Wooden Shjips (live) on Therese's show from about 22 hours ago. www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 10:39pm Marmalade Kitty:

But then for me, the 90's are hazy..

Mae brussell was on the Kennedy case and other controversial cases..! She had a show on KLRB
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 10:44pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

I just missed the 60s, but what fascinates me are the things that were a little different, much more than the things that were a lot different. Supermarkets had store-brand beer. The street lights weren't orange.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 10:55pm Marmalade Kitty:

absolutely, Pete! I love studying film footage from the 60's and 70's especially..
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 10:57pm D in Miami:

     Mon. 11/18/13 10:58pm LovecraftDude888:

Was doing research on Jack Ruby....what a sketcher....he just happened to be able to sneak into the police dept. basement
armed and wait for Oswald who happened to be allowed to travel with removed security detail and unlocked doors etc. What a load of bollocks. I think it was a conspiracy! I never did before but reading up on it now....what nonsense. And even it wasn't, brilliant move shooting the assassin (or alleged) so we'll never get any of the real story, ever. Ruby was a total stooge. And there was no 2nd or 3rd shooter and never was. C'mon folks. Wake up. And Ruby was goddamned connected to the mob big time AND the cops!! I did research on that years ago for a major paper I did on the JFK thing for college. The whole thing is dirty and it's total bullshit. And why the hell was Oswald running about Russia for goodness sake? For fun? What a bunch of bullshit as well. This country just astounds me.... it really does. it also astounds me that RFK was basically allowed to be assassinated...I mean, where the fuck was the security for him? Nowhere. Esp. after is brother's assassination! So totally ridiculous. What a country the USA.
Makes me ashamed to be American, really. I just despair.
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:01pm LovecraftDude888:

Did someone get to shoot Sirhan Sirhan? No. Was that a conspiracy? Nah. Even if it was, my point is, they made sure they spent enough money to insure the security around RFK was almost zero so anybody could go up to HIM and shoot him too! I can't believe how stupid Americans are. And I'm an American....oh I want to renounce citizenship, just about. Wahhh
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:03pm Dan Bodah:

Someone got the bug
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:04pm D in Miami:

So all those assassinations weren't drone strikes?
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:06pm Dan Bodah:

Truth can be so weird though, so there IS that, LovercraftDude888.
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:07pm LovecraftDude888:

Nah the drones would've weigh 1000000 tons then! heehee I really think it's possible Oswald was a goddamned full fledged sleeper agent (but a more obvious one). The evidence is clear as to why I would think so. The whole thing stinks....it's such bullshit. And he for sure was no "lone wacko". I mean, he did the shooting alone, but he was no wacko...he knew what he was doing and why. And he had help. For sure. 2nd gunman my ass.
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:07pm LovecraftDude888:

Maybe the 2nd gunman was the feckin' Master from Dr. Who fame!
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:12pm LovecraftDude888:

And then Oswald first tries to kill some retired General! har!
it's better than any mystery novel you could think of. And more absurd.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:12pm Marmalade Kitty:

You think Oswald assasinated Kennedy and that he was the only gunman on the day? And he fired from the the said building?
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:14pm D in Miami:

Is this the Kroumata Ensemble?
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:17pm Droll:

You guys don't even know the half of it. Elvis is in the Bermuda Triangle at a CIA base that uses Spock's Brain to fluoridate our precious bodily fluids. The proof is in Dick Cheney's DNA, which of course he won't turn over.
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:17pm 12539:

And don't mention Paul McCartney please!
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:18pm LovecraftDude888:

I dunno but also Oswald was already arrested multiple times
and then the FBI were well aware of him for various reasons. It's totally absurd. And then supposedly oswald killed that cop a few hours after the assassination. Yeah right. ok. I guess? Who the feck knows? That could've been b.s too. I dunno anymore. And then Jim Morrison was the 3rd gunman!
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:19pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

MK, the 1960 movie "BUtterfield 8" features a car chase just past the Tappan Zee Bridge. All the places look recognizable, but the trees are too small, and the signs have all different fonts than they did 15 years later.

That's what I'mma talkin about.

And with that, goodnight to all.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:19pm ottovonbqe:

Let me tell you what happened to the *real* Dan Bodah sometime.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:19pm Marmalade Kitty:

     Mon. 11/18/13 11:19pm LovecraftDude888:

Sky Saxon was the 6th artillery commander? The whole thing makes more sense on acid, I"m sure.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:20pm fleep:

This is why ladyfleep believes Oswald acted alone. To think otherwise puts you in with the loony conspiracy theorists and by extension, all the other paranoid truther theories they promote. She doesn't want to be a crackpot. However, as Mae Brussell proves, sometimes crackpots stumble on the truth.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:22pm D in Miami:

THIS JUST IN: JFK Assassination case solved on Playlist/Comment page during Dan Bodah's Airborne Event this Monday evening.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:23pm Droll:

I am not a conspiracy theorist, I am an anti-fascist.
-- Dave Emory

What ever happened to his show?
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:23pm Marmalade Kitty:

you calling a me crack pot?
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:23pm LovecraftDude888:

Also, if Oswald killed JFK due to his Communism leanings, etc., what would it possibly have accomplished for that side...unless it was that Russia/China just wanted him gone. Which is possible too of course....but Oswald on his own? makes zero sense. Alright...enough my head hurts...gonna go play with
my Mechano set.....and reminisce
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:24pm fleep:

No, I'm calling me a crackpot.
Avatar Mon. 11/18/13 11:25pm Marmalade Kitty:

     Mon. 11/18/13 11:25pm LovecraftDude888:

And then Oswald defects to Russia but then later gets re-accepted with open arms by the USA! Right! Sure. I guess JFK's admin. was that liberal!! far out! I'm a crackpot and so's my wife!
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:27pm Droll:

I hate when crack and pot are lumped together like that. Lots of USA states with medical pot, no states with medical crack.
Avatar    Mon. 11/18/13 11:29pm ottovonbqe:

If you are getting your crack and pot all lumped together, you should get a new dealer.
     Mon. 11/18/13 11:29pm LovecraftDude888:

Sorry, that happened just as JFK was taking power or just previous, Oswald's jaunt in Russia. Far out! So I guess he snuck in just between Eisenhower and JFK! Wackiness. And then he wasn't keen on the "entertainment" in Russia! What did he expect, a weekend at the Chateau Marmont? with KISS, 500 naked strippers and as much coke as he could eat?
  Mon. 11/18/13 11:41pm plastiquejesus:
