"Bara was one of the most popular actresses of the silent era, and one of cinema's earliest sex symbols. Her femme fatale roles earned her the nickname The Vamp (short for vampire). Bara made more than 40 films between 1914 and 1926, but most are now lost due to a fire that destroyed the majority of her films in 1937."

Rev Rabbit: Sure, I know Lebanon. I have many friends in White River Junction. Lived there for a short spell, myself. I also know Claremont. About 15 years ago I used to go there for their neat old junk shops. My BEST chef's knife came from a dusty, dark old junk shop in Claremont. All carbon steel, no stainless. Looks like hell, holds an edge like nobody's bizznizz.
I know WFMU isn't the only one, but I have a really hard time with NPR mostly. Some good programming, but I always forget when the shows I like are on.
I'm involved in an LP-FM station down here in my town, which is Brattleboro. Maybe we should take this conversation off this page. People are probably getting bored or annoyed or something.

I have heard of combo bars and laundromats, too, so you can get sloshed while sloshing your clothes. How common, I wonder? Seems like an idea that would catch on.

Chris A: I didn't know about National Puppy Day! What a perfect reason to have a holiday. Oooooh I love puppies! I'm almost jumping up and down in my chair. I will be 39 in a few weeks. :-D
Never too old for puppies...
