joe what a terrific show so far!
Sun. 6/17/12 12:37am Holly in NC:

Last night I came home to my housemate prancing around like Jame "it puts the lotion on" Gumb - he's bartending a fetish party & has created a passable Jim Morrison type leather persona, so no doubt will be bringing at least 1 woman home. Oy. But he does knows to be quiet until I leave in the am. Strange days.

Summer-haters unite!
Funny though, I always make tons of summer-specific mixtapes, much more so than for any other season (unless you count Xmas as a season). Summer *music* rules.
  Sun. 6/17/12 12:56am Droll:

I hated summer until I moved to Seattle. Summer is the best 3 weeks of the year here!
  Sun. 6/17/12 12:57am 12539:

I prefer a summer state of mind to the actual season.

Hi Matt!
@Joe, I love the vibe you're creating this set, thank you!

I hope I can stay awake for a bit of semi-summery single file. While I doubt you have any People Under the Stairs 7"s ( I doubt there ARE any POS 7"s), would you happen to have G Rafferty's "Baker Street" on 7"?
  Sun. 6/17/12 1:22am rmrose:

Lived in Maine, for a while. Summer there is referred to as Independence Day.

@Matt: I'm kidding, actually. Rich despises this song, but I like to kid him. How he cannot hear the absolute greatness of this Isleys cover is beyond me!

And, now, Summer Breeze from T-Neck's own Isley Bros.! Geez. Glad I came here...!!

That's true, from Teaneck, New Joisey!

@Joe: Preach it to the choir, then preach it to the rest of Studio A! :)

@Matt: I'll try, but that Hazelton is a tough nut to crack!

Joe, how's that Kickstarter thing coming on for the WFMU film?
  Sun. 6/17/12 2:38am rmrose:

If i recall, their own label was T-Neck!! Didn't Hendrix record something on that label, too? Or am I mistaken?
Avatar    Sun. 6/17/12 2:39am Joe McG:

@Brian: Pretty well so far, Brian! Last time I looked, the Kickstarter was halfway to the goal. Might be a bit more now since I haven't looked since Thursday. I hope so! Even though I doubt I'll be in it. (sob)

@rmrose: Did he? I have to admit, I'm a bit of a Hendrix dope. I thought he was on Reprise for his whole career.
Sun. 6/17/12 2:41am Brian in UK:

There are a few players that are on reprise for most of their careers!!!!
Sun. 6/17/12 2:42am Matt from Springfield:
