Listener comments!

  6:04am
ausmanx:

yo, Mr M, got any Nihilist Spasm Band in your bag tonight? i was playing them on the way into work and thought it would be great if Russ Abbot covered them (or vice versa)...
  6:04am
Andrew:

Hi Marty!
I like these 40s radio shows
  6:08am
pierre:

Mr Stuart, let her out of here !
  6:09am
pierre:

Bonjour Marty !
Bonjour fellow listeners !
  6:12am
marty:

Morning Eveyone! no 40s this morning. But I am Drinking some Bucks Fizz a friend in London sent w/ the band . . . .
  6:13am
marty:

so happy to see you coming around and opening your mind to more russ abbot aus
  6:15am
ausmanx:

what, you're playing Bucks Fizz this morning? brilliant! any other Eurovision winners?
  6:15am
hamburger:

what does this mr stuart need all these slabs of concrete filled with house-keepers for??
  6:18am
Caryn:

Some ionised yeast tablets, please! And I really don't get Mr Stuart's motives yet. It's not as if he ritualistically kills people and needs to bury the corpses in concrete to hide them. He just knocks people out and puts them in... Not very interesting as far as serial killers goes.
  6:19am
hamburger:

oh.. profit.. all makes sense now..
  6:20am
marty:

its all TURE!!
based on this story:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._H._Holmes
  6:23am
Andrew:

I've read about him
  6:23am
marty:

this was like law and order radio
  6:28am
Caryn:

@Marty: yep, the minute he started showing the different rooms, I thought of that guy. Nice to know I was right. But certainly, if the motive is profit, you could pick better victims than women looking for a job as a secretary, nurse or housekeeper. It's not as if they're gonna be loaded.
  6:32am
T-Zero:

He was after their life insurance policies, which he took out on them, though, Caryn.
  6:35am
Caryn:

Yep, but burying a chick in concrete is gonna make collecting the insurance a little difficult. All I'm saying is, they based it on the real guy, but the logic is a little stretched because they had to change other things about the character and his actions.
  6:36am
marty:

im not after your life insurance. but i am after your $ this morning we are in the middle of this silent pledge drive. Who gonna step up and pledge and bump my % up???
  6:40am
Caryn:

Just pledged some to you yesterday, Marty, so I'm tapped out. Please don't lure me into a murder castle! :)
  6:42am
marty:

haha MUCH LOVE CARYN. ill ask you into my murder castle but just to help me murder all that dont pledge cool?
  6:47am
Caryn:

Cool. I may have a hidden gun on me just in case, though, so don't get any ideas. Which reminds me, Mr. Stuart fell victim to the classic Bond villain mistake: don't explain your damn plan to the hero of the piece, just kill them off! You're just giving them time and helpful information to turn the tables on you.
  6:48am
T-Zero:

Indeed!
  6:48am
pierre:

for those in Paris, just a quick schedule:
there's Bill Orcutt on thursday + the Monochrome Set on Saturday.

Just sayin' for the FrenchFmuFriends out there
  6:49am
Andrew:

1970?? O_O wow, this is cool

now im reading about HH Holmes
  6:51am
George of Troy:

Do the Du?
  6:51am
Andrew:

Oh, winamp updating before the playlist, or vice versa...I like this song though (reaction atria)
  6:52am
ausmanx:

damn, orcutt, i hate you. he'll never come over here...
  6:53am
marty:

yeah George gogogo airheart was for sure listening to some certain ratio!
  6:54am
marty:

is any one listening to me that wants to pledge some $$? its easy just click the cow and help keep radio working!
  6:55am
Caryn:

Further advice for movie villains:
1) Never dress in a snazzy suit and sunglasses, you'll be instantly recognizable as a villain.
2) If there's a wisecracking guy wearing a t-shirt or wifebeater in the vicinity, kill them immediately. You'll save yourself a lot of hassle.
3) When designing your massive fortress/HQ/death star, always doublecheck the plans to find that one totally unprotected damn entrance/duct that leads directly to the main reactor/computer room/your office and either eliminate it completely from the plan or fortify the hell out of it.
  6:57am
pierre:

@ ausmanx : i'd love to tell him to come to your town, where do you live?
  6:58am
Andrew:

ok, Marty, here's $10 ^_^
  6:59am
ausmanx:

thanks pierre, have a word with him! but sydney's too bloody far for most people to come! i come to paris a lot, though, so maybe...
  7:00am
Caryn:

Oh, and also:
4) A European accent of any kind is always suspicious, so if you have one, get some elocution lessons and acquire a totally innocuous accent of some kind.
  7:02am
pierre:

Next time, we'll need another wf(rench)mu meeting then !

Are you Speaking about Buckfast !?!?
  7:04am
Adrian in London:

Never mind malted Scottish caffiene stuff, have you ever tried mead? It's basically like getting drunk on honey. I imagine a vow of silence would be harder for monks after getting lairy on bee liquor. http://lindisfarne-mead.co.uk/
  7:05am
marty:

Thanks andrew!!!
  7:06am
pierre:

@ marty, is that the beverage ? : are we speaking of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckfast_Tonic_Wine ?
  7:06am
marty:

is it sweet adriam? i drank alot of cider over there and the sugar fucks my shit up in a bad way
  7:06am
marty:

thats the stuff pierre!!!
  7:07am
Andrew:

hehe, i'm sure i've heard this before...is dan rather still going?
  7:10am
Caryn:

Man, Lindisfarne Mead always reminds me of the "flatulent hermit of Lindisfarne" from Blackadder.
  7:11am
pierre:

I spent a whole year working in GLASGOW, and the first time i tried Buckfast, was with (what people call) Non Educated DelinquantS, they heard my french accent and told "have a taste of this drink" oooh the nights i've spent drinking this… great (non)memories. I actually think the drink is made in Engand, but it's said that 70% of the production is bought in Glagow, an all the Ayrshire region.

As shown on this video, it is very popular amongst so called Neds : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scNLfr1EP08
  7:13am
Andrew:

I can just imagine someone driving behind that truck & siphoning it off. No wonder they are nuts in glasgow ^_^
  7:16am
pierre:

@ Andrew : then the video i just post will confirm what you've just said.
I love this city so much.
  7:24am
Andrew:

was this in the movie? I loved Young Guns when I was a kid.
that video....O_o
he looks about 18yo & has a huge scar looks like from a knife?
Reminds me of this guy who was on clips on a website...David Firth's stuff...salad fingers...

this track is nice
  7:26am
marty:

if yo ass is a busta and isnt pledging we gonna have to regulate
  7:30am
Adrian in London:

Mead is, inevitably, quite sweet. I'd probably stop at a pint or two…
  7:31am
Andrew:

well you are nearly double some people's totals, Marty.
This one is good. I like french music.
  7:33am
pierre:

speaking of ninjas :

http://www.buzzfeed.com/awesomer/teenage-mutant-ninja-noses
  7:39am
marty:

thats treu andrew, but you and Caryn are the only ones that have thrown in today. and i know there is more people out there that can give a lil bit
  7:42am
Andrew:

haha, the ninja turtles heads look like they are based on noses...weird...
  7:49am
marty:

thats really good
  8:11am
Kellen:

  8:12am
