15M-Spanish revolution:
Hope not to disturb you super-Terry ;-) and you listeners but I think this have to be said: You just have to see what's going on in Spain, almost everyday since the 15th of may and in every city. http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid28066806001 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcmvzRvsf8g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQfk6pn_adg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxDdJ0nCk7M ... and so many more. Police violence, polititian corruption facts, bank frauds evidences,... People's in the streets and the official power is backing fascist actions. 'This is Inside Job exposed, lived in real time.' Get informed and spread the info, please. (and now let the rock be and rock)

@Sam from Claremont: Calvin has an EXPANSIVE series of comp cassettes he has been putting out for years now. Probably on K, but another angle is to try and track down his cassettes by word-searching his name online + cassette comps. I know Sonic Boom Records in Seattle sells quite a few of them. Hope that helps.

Hi there Terre T! Not normally close to the computer this time on a Saturday night, nice to catch your show. Your Whats With Terre site is very interesting, particularly the 'music politix + more' link. Looking forward to catching the Barracudars. Btw, the suspended vehical on 'fmu home page is/was a Morris Minor and I took my driving test in one of those back in 1975!

lots of thanx (for everything), Terry and Sue. just great as usual! Tomorrow night any of you will be able to check the demonstrations by yourselves. You'll have to google (not too hard) though. http://www.europeanrevolution.net/?tag=demonstration http://snuproject.wordpress.com/2011/06/14/15m-to-19j-spain-rallies-for-protests-amaia-arcos-p2p-blog/ 19J take the streets!

we don't even know ourselves most of the times. This is all an spontaneous movement and we organize by cities when not by neighborhoods. Pretty autonomous but connected (in some way) by Internet, mails, Facebooks, and alikes. Amazing though how we all move quite together.

Rich:
Americans must be the biggest Narcissists in the world. If the news Is not about US, or our Celebrities our media Is not Interested, It does not sell. Our media has made the choice of Entertainment over Information. I did not see anything on the BBC or Aljazeera either. Would we have focused on it if not for primavera?

you may only find it googling or in Youtube. Check for 'Spanish revolution' or '15M' in Youtube. There's quite easy. LOTS of videos in there. I mean, hearing you I feel as if I wasn't right or was a lier, but it's all out there (here)
|
Sat. 6/18/11 5:10pm

Oi! we don't have it either in our (Spanish) media. And when they show it, they make use of primitive manipulation. Yesterday a pacific demonstration was pictured in the news with pictures from (violent) demonstrations in Greece, showing the pictures the Greek flags!!! I mean it is not 'the typical US media problem', but there's no interest to show it nowhere. It's weird indeed. We're angry and happy to show it.

Gotta go now. I'll check this thread tomorrow morning. But in case anyone wants a personal close up can contact me at Facebook (youthing.sevilla) in Spanish though. Have a nice weekend and enjoy!!! See u next week here or (almost) everyday in FMU.
|
Sat. 6/18/11 5:15pm
sympathizer from Germany:
There are quite some reports about the protests in Greece and a little less about those in Spain in German media. If you look at the frontpage of www.spiegel.de right now, you see Greek protesters... I suspect there's more in German media because our "Chancelloress" Merkel is very actively involved in talks about how to further gag Greece and others.
