i think my favorite costume 'seen was my friend caolan's "skeleton bride" from dungeons & dragons. the rest of nyc's costumes i got debriefed 'bout on somebody's camera, having missed the civic parade..

JJ: sweet! er, nasty about the insulation! but, very nice to imagine the pixelated face. my monster costume this year totally sucked but once i was an ectoplasm, with a polaroid camera. this meant i culd pull myself out of the various characters in the room, while making pictures of it.. like meeting jim jones was a hoot!

i had friends who once used dried au gratin potato mix to clean up a flood in the bathroom. it failed miserably, because the water needed to be warm for the potato to act as an absorbent. but for your turban, IT JUST MIGHT WORK.

O, Greysoul! Yes, definitely try the food products on the pachyderm part, because one might eat the other.. hopefully in the order you would like.. Also, try colorsafe bleach. If that fails what's a halloween turban without some pumpkin on it!
