annie, i searched the web briefly for that article and i will either copy it or find it on line for next week, how's that. frequently i swap out half the butter for yogurt in recipes. a stick is equal to half cup of yogurt.

I had to look up what a 'stick' measures in @ -- passing along some cups and metrics
1 stick of butter = 1/2 cup
1 stick of butter = 8 tablespoons
1 stick of butter = 113 grams
