Sun. 3/8/09 6:21am Tom L (Hallock Hill):

Dan, morning--I almost blew it with the time change! Here is to a good show.

Sun. 3/8/09 6:26am Dan B:

Hi Tom & Paul, welcome to gloryland. Was there a time change? I'm clueless thanks to a cell phone alarm clock that automatically changes with the new times

Sun. 3/8/09 6:29am Tom L (Hallock Hill):

Yes, there was a time change, and I'm still generally on analog when it comes to clocks!

Sun. 3/8/09 6:39am Tom L (Hallock Hill):

Hey Dan and Rob, what is WFMU's pledge goal?

Trees Community... You know how to push my buttons, Dan!

Sun. 3/8/09 6:42am tombom:

at least $1.2 million + 10000 pledges or somethijng

Sun. 3/8/09 6:50am Dan B:

10,000 pledges!!! Bwahhaahahaha

Sun. 3/8/09 7:05am Peter:

The best show ever!!

Sun. 3/8/09 7:08am Dan B:

You're too kind Peter! Thanks!

Sun. 3/8/09 7:09am Tom L (Hallock Hill):

Great show so far. As an fyi, it took me two weeks, but I tracked down the Susan Alcorn disks you were playing a few weeks ago (through Alcorn herself). All of her work (or nearly all) is available at the Downtown Music Gallery on Bowery, in NYC. Fantastic stuff--I wanted to thank you again for introducing her to me.

Sun. 3/8/09 7:23am chris in london:

hi guys. gonna give money to ya. how about 50 english pounds. that is my pledge to you. thanks to wfmu my life changed.

Sun. 3/8/09 7:25am Dan B:

Thanks Chris! We take english pounds, transeuropean euros, swiss francs, zloty, whatever! Bless you!

Sun. 3/8/09 7:26am Joshua K:

This stuff is great. I've listened to the roots of chicha compilation but haven't heard this.

Sun. 3/8/09 7:26am Dan B:

Tom -- glad you tracked down Susan Alcorn's music at Downtown Music Gallery -- a shop after our own hearts here at WFMU.

Sun. 3/8/09 7:26am Rob W, your MC:

Hi Chris -

Can you fill out the insta-pledge form on this playlist? $75 US - just a tad more than 50 pounds UK - will get you Dan's premium cd so that's a perfect amount!

Sun. 3/8/09 7:33am Bas,NL:

Good Morning Dan!
Listening in like all weeks! Best show on earth and in the air above it!
Wow... And I just woke up; slept late because i was listening to Rob late last night.. Did you get some sleep at ALL Rob??
Best wishes, Bas.

Sun. 3/8/09 7:43am Joshua K:

Nice job Bas.

Sun. 3/8/09 7:48am Bas, NL:

@Joshua K: As Mr. Spock puts it... Logic dictates... ;)
Happy listening!

Sun. 3/8/09 7:57am ZAX:

monotonix

Sun. 3/8/09 7:57am Joshua K:

I saw DMBQ play the day I was there, equally crazy time.

Sun. 3/8/09 7:58am Andy from Glasgow:

Hey Dan & Rob, what's the best way to bump up the pledge if you're using the internet? If I pledge an extra $25 will that magically add on to the previous pledge so I can get the cd? Thanks :)

Sun. 3/8/09 7:59am postmanpaul:

yeah dan, sunday morn is my only 'this time in the morn' live listening time, and you're always on the case! i first tuned into fmu about a year ago and my jaded musicradio ear-holes could not believe what they were listening to.
that such an amazingly unique and totally autonomous radio station exists at all still blows me away!

Sun. 3/8/09 8:02am Glenn L:

Yes, Andy from Glasgow.

Sun. 3/8/09 8:03am Dan B:

Yeah, any extra pledge online will automatically be added to your prior pledges

Sun. 3/8/09 8:04am Dan B:

Oh yeah, DMBQ also was madness!

Sun. 3/8/09 8:11am Bas, NL:

'Blue Sun' is another one of those rare and fantastic tracks i discovered on WFMU. Never to this day found a hardcopy though. It was.. might still be available on the WFMU blog download? NWW list?
B.

Sun. 3/8/09 8:23am Dan B:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I got the Blue Sun track from the Wm. Berger posts on the WMFU blog (blog.wfmu.org) in which he ran down the NWW list and put up mp3s.

Sun. 3/8/09 8:30am Tom L (Hallock Hill):

I wish I could make 35 more pledges myself, but I am tapped out at two, sorry guys. Your show changes lives and perspectives, as so many have noted.

Sun. 3/8/09 8:43am Stannerlee:

Hi Postmanpaul - same thing happened to me. Discovered WFMU through captainbeefheart.com and truly my life has not been the same since. Radio in UK is pretty crap but even if it was better I cannot imagine it would be as good as this. Long live WFMU and to all those listening in Britain, if you haven't done so already do the right thing and give generously. Peace.

Sun. 3/8/09 8:59am Dan B:

Much love and thanks for all the support everyone! It means more than words can say to hear how much the shows means to you.

Sun. 3/8/09 9:06am Bas, NL:

Woohooo!!! I'm so going to enjoy the 'Huffin' Rags Blues'!!
