First comment! Woo hoo!
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:03pm Irene:

Never gets old, does it?
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:07pm Parq:

Irene, who had the well known version of "Head and Heart"? I know the song well, but it seems I remember a different version than Martyn's own.
Mon. 2/2/09 3:08pm north guinea hills:

RIP John Martyn

Thanks for the Bridget St. John. I saw her once open for Damon & Naomi. Super awesome!
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:13pm Cecile:

  Mon. 2/2/09 3:14pm Cecile:

this birds song, was that from the lovely young British MySpace lady who was on a few months ago?
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:18pm Irene:

Parq-- I'm not sure if I know of another version of "Head and Heart." This is the one I know.
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:19pm Irene:

Cecile-- You're thinking of Alessi's Ark.
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:20pm Cecile:

Birds, ark, that's how I must have gotten them mixed up.
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:22pm Rick:

Loving the first set, Irene
Mon. 2/2/09 3:29pm north guinea hills:

I think the Venn diagram of the shows that both Cecile and I have seen would show a considerable amount of overlap.
Mon. 2/2/09 3:38pm north guinea hills:

in 2000, a month before I moved here from FL, I found myself in line at the Knitting Factory to see John Fahey. 3 hours later, he had still had yet to appear. 6 months later, he passed on.... : (
  Mon. 2/2/09 3:52pm pyschothresher:

this moss song has a little of the police's "king of pain" in it -- that melody ("you are whatever... king of pain!!!"
Mon. 2/2/09 3:55pm north guinea hills:

  Mon. 2/2/09 3:56pm annie:

i never tire of him. i have 7 lps of his..
  Mon. 2/2/09 4:01pm lightning494:

If you never "got" Jacques Brel, see the DailyMotion channel of Lightning49 or the YouTube channel of lightning494 for lots of Brel performance with English subtitles. You will "get" Brel. I have been working for years to help anglophones "get" Brel.
  Mon. 2/2/09 4:06pm tablogloid:

I carry your heart with me... an e.e. cummigs poem

  Mon. 2/2/09 4:20pm Parq:

Being a Francophile always was pleasant, but it makes it even better that it pisses the right wingers off as much as it does nowadays.
  Mon. 2/2/09 4:22pm annie:
