Listener comments!

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 9:03am From: Lupica

So glad that John Miles is getting the Tigersushi treatment... The re-mixer did a GENIUS job of editing out the really crappy part of this song (and if you know the original, it IS crappy!) and just leaving in the good stuff.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 9:49am From: Hatch

How's everybody doing today? Sick of the Christmas season yet? I sure am.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 9:55am From: Mike

I'm sick of having to walk on the road because of sidewalks covered in four feet of snow. It's part of Christmas.
Enjoying the show, I probably owe knowing about Brian Harnetty to this very show and it's one of my favourites from the year.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:00am From: Hatch

In New York all we've had so far is frozen slush.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:01am From: Lang

Now, now grinchy goosey you mess with the Amazonians you take a risk! You could have taken the handmade pledge or just made some sad gingerbread raisin men to give as gifts...

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:03am From: Hatch

Bah humbug.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:04am From: lang

Are there gonna be any hip hop/rap selections from this year Hatchling?

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:09am From: suz

yea i hate this holiday bullshit. makes me morose. thanks for complaining. love your show. esp this phinnish number.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:09am From: Hatch

Perhaps!

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:15am From: Hatch

What's the worst Christmas gift you ever got? Once year I got an oven mitt.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:16am From: Bad Ronald

Herpes!

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:17am From: Hatch

You did not get herpes for Christmas.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:18am From: Lang

what is wrong with an oven mitt? Wait, was it that ugly cow one you used to have?

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:18am From: Bad Ronald

inadvertantly...

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:19am From: Hatch

I already had an oven mitt. Isn't one enough?

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:19am From: Bad Ronald

well you got two hands.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:21am From: Hatch

How do you know I don't have a hook?

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:22am From: ?

Not really a present I got but when I was a kid I wanted one of those keyboards with the Wham demo and everything, and it was all I asked for until my parents convinced me it was too big for Santa's sleigh etc. So my second choice was a watch, which I ended up getting. For whatever reason my sister got the keyboard I was talked out of even though she didn't ask for it. I was forced to apologize to her for being so upset.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:23am From: Bad Ronald

Than an oven mitt would be ideal!

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:29am From: Parq

Hatch have a hook? Well, he does give out fishing tips . . .

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:31am From: Hatch

I always wanted one of those kid-sized motorized cars to drive around the backyard. Never got one. A few years ago my dad apologized for being so cheap about it. If I remember correctly think he may have gotten teary-eyed.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:32am From: Hatch

That's right Parq. I also have an eye patch.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:41am From: zoe

Do you have a parrot on your shoulder as well?

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:43am From: Parq

What's a priate's favorite part of an opera? The arrrr-ria.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:44am From: matt bua

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:58am From: Mike

I just volunteered to participate in an office snowman-decorating contest on Friday. This is how much getting out of doing work is worth to me.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 10:59am From: V

I think imma gonna cry now. what a sad beautiful song. Hope my boss man doesn't come over.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:06am From: Blue Superior

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:11am From: Sean Daily

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:16am From: lonnie

juno looks like a wonderful, heart-warming, coming of age story and it puts the rose in my cheeks just thinking about how precious teen pregnancy can be, especially when accompanied by the humor and wit of a first-time writer. well..um..just stick to no country for old men. even seeing it a second time is a better time investment than other films have to offer.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:20am From: Wes

Everything I hate about (modern American) Christmas can be wrapped up in those houses covered in lights that flash and dance in sync with crappy "transiberian orchestra" holiday songs.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:22am From: Matt

Lonnie- I saw the trailer for Juno when I went to see No Country For Old Men. Needless to say, I was thrown for a loop!

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:26am From: Briezy

I made the huge mistake of seeing that Glass Candy movie, with that same ninny in the red hoodie who's in Juno. What a puss. The worst x-mas present I've gotten THIS year is a light switch cover. Man oh man.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:27am From: Hatch

You got it this year? Did you get that for someone else? That is pretty bad.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:27am From: vicvic

Can we talk about the best* x mas gift evva?
Really, too much negativity. ...

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:28am From: Sally

Merry Christmas everyone!
May all your dreams and wishes come true in the new year!!!!
Bless you all......

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:28am From: Mike

while we're being positive, hatch and everyone what do your favourite movies of the year lists look like?

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:29am From: Briezy

The lightswitch cover was given to me by a friend this year. Shee heehooo. It's ok, it's alright. You can't expect good presents from friends. Oh, uh, best Christmas present ever was a bike with a basket on the front.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:29am From: Rusty

Happy Holidays!!!!!
It would be even happier for me if you would play more MOTORHEAD!!!!!

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:29am From: mark

Hatch, need more flow to the program, which is too choppy, with too many talk breaks, and too much noise like this horseshit (aptly named)

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:30am From: jeanine

yeah, I've hated that girl ever since I saw her in Hard Candy, where her performance actually made me feel sorry for the pedophile James Spader. That takes a lot.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:31am From: Briezy

we see eye to eye, jeanine

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:31am From: jeanine

by james spader I of course mean patrick wilson. oops.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:34am From: lonnie

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:43am From: Mike

I guess it's last year but it didn't have North American release til 07, but did anyone see This is England? I was ready to love it but it really fell apart for me in the last 10-15 minutes. Hated the last scene, especially.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:47am From: Brian C.

Hatch,
Couldn't that band's name be announced as "Psychedelic Horses Hit"?

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:48am From: Hatch

Could be, sure. Or Psychedelic Horse Poo, et cetera.

Tue Dec. 18, 2007 11:51am From: Wes

Bon holiday, H. See you after the break.

Wed Dec. 19, 2007 12:25pm From: mihai

Damn, all too often I end up listening to the show on Wednesday. But just wanted to say, surely Sean Penn's 'Into The Wild' has to make any respectable 2007 movie list?
