I never paid any attention to The Church because I didn't like this song, but more recently I've heard songs by them I've liked.

The same thing was true with the Go-Betweens. I didn't like that Streets of Your Town song, so I never listened to anything else by them, but eventually I discovered I liked literally everything else by the Go-Betweens. Now they're one of my favorites. But I still skip that song.

Back in '82 I met Marshall Crenshaw when a band I worked with opened for him in Poughkeepsie. He came off like a jerk, probably exhausted from the label running him into the ground.

My love opened for Marshall a few years ago & he was as sweet as could be.
