I wrote agreements for the last quarter century to bind businesses and government for procurement. Successors clause is fairly standard, though rarely actually invoked. You know a company is bought out when you receive a letter directing you send payments to a new accounts receivable address.

That's always ugly. Successor can attempt to renegotiate the agreement, but Party B can sit tight and say successor inherited the existing agreement and must honor it. Which then leads both parties to the termination clause.

fumbling toward ecstasy is an excellent album and the only Sarah McLachlan album that holds up for me.
saw her perform 3 times she was Brilliant each time.
(although madder rose was more my jam at the time, in general)
