Wasn’t sure I was supposed to live this film, but I did. I have it on DVD & watch it every time they show it on Shudder or whatever horror channel plays it.

	8:47pm ron-ji: This has been a fascinating trip into a single film tonight (I wish I hadn’t been multitasking through the middle). I’ve enjoyed past shows that were tributes to individual composers, but this is also an excellent approach for MORRICONE to explore.
	8:49pm Rick A: I saw The Wicker Man at a BAM special screening in early 2005. The ending really freaked me out. I have never forgotten it, the long ending shot of the setting sun.

He is there to investigate a possible murder, and at least one other person, the sea-plane pilot, is murdered in cold blood by the islanders. I think the picture is firmly behind Woodward…and I think, from Lee's expression, that we are to believe that Lord Summerisle knows that the ritual will not work.
