With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers

Morning all!! Stork for Meghan!
Avatar 🥁 7:02am

The Stork delivers.

Good day, sir.

hey everyone!
Avatar 🥁 7:05am

elwyn, from the land down under. Greets!

Hi Elwyn and Stork. Top o’ the morning!

it's 9 pm Friday where I am. :-) the work week is over and if it doesn't rain, I'll be playing roller hockey tomorrow.
Avatar 🥁 7:09am

Hi Sem!! elwyn! m?stery guest! Gooood moring!
Avatar 7:12am

Greetings all from rainy Ohio. Thanks for subbing in the underwater spot Stork!
Mark R.:

This Yellow Magic Orchestra track is cool--never heard of 'em!
Avatar 🥁 7:16am

My name keeps changing on this durn thing! Wolfgang is Stork (read: me) if anyone's wondering.
Mark R.:

This YIN YIN track is cool, too. I just wish I knew how to make that neat little line above the i's.
Avatar 🥁 7:18am

Greetz Mark R., leshwatt! Let's caffeine!!!!!!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 7:18am

Howdy Storkgang and all drummer streamers. Listening on my snooze alarm.
Avatar 7:18am

What’s in a name anyway....

Thanks for the tunes!
Mark R.:

We better caffeine--I just got the math answer wrong!
Mark R.:

The red letters glow and pulsate psychedelically against that blue background.
Avatar 7:20am

Kona dark roast through a Kurig. Black.
Mark R.:

He sings "I did it again" but the title is "WE did it again." Are you fucking with us, Soft Machine?
listener james from westwood:

Mark R.:

Trader Joe's Wake Up Blend through a Cuisinart automatic drip coffeemaker, with almond/vanilla cream. Delish--it's like having dessert for breakfast!
Avatar 🥁 7:25am

Whew! Finally got the photo up there - what a spazz am I!

this song is so catchy!
Mark R.:

Those people in the water are definitely not social distancing--and not a mask in sight!
Avatar 🥁 7:26am

Good coffee talk and a good coffee chart here: www.zerohedge.com...
Avatar 🥁 7:32am

That picture is from Summer, 2017, Mark R. Fear not.
Avatar 7:33am

I wonder if cheap beer is becoming more popular in parallel with cheap coffee
Avatar 🥁 7:33am

Mourn, maybe, but don't fear!
Mark R.:

Interesting chart--the Trader Joe's is actually pretty high-quality stuff--organic, fair trade, 100% Arabica. I find Starbucks roasting process creates a very strong (critics say "burnt") flavor, no matter which beans I choose. I don't mind it so much, but my wife absolutely hates it, so Starbucks beans never enter our home.
Mark R.:

Oh, you can bet they were all asymptomatic as hell, Storkie--I know a bunch of Asian bat eaters when I see 'em!
Avatar 7:38am

I prefer Starbucks over Tim Hortons, which I think tastes burnt. I need to resurrect my French Press soon.
Avatar 🥁 7:40am

I've read the french press thing is the least healthy way to go. Something to do with the chemistry of coffee.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47am

Well, look, it's Stork!
Mark R.:

Of course--I LOVE French press coffee. What is it about me that is always attracted to the most unhealthy things? French press coffee, cocaine, crazy women?
Avatar 7:48am

I hear ya Mark. And WFMU is pretty unhealthy too probably.....
Avatar 🥁 7:49am

Cholly Olly!! Wassurp, stream-matey?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am

2.5 hours of sleep, this will be a fun day! (will it will b/c of Stork) (insomia isn't fun)
Mark R.:

Yes, Lesh--I now think of jackhammers, helicopters and jungle sounds as "music."
Avatar 🥁 7:51am

northguineahills! Herzlich Willkommen!
Mark R.:

I'm wondering if there might be an opportunity or a brief catnap, NGH. They say one of John Lennon's many skills was that he could fall asleep almost anywhere, almost instantly. If they had a 30 minute break while the engineers were making adjustments or something, he might crawl under the piano and grab 40 winks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56am

@Mark: When I was a teenager, I could sleep anywhere. But by my 20s, sleep is harder to come by.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am

(of course in my 20s, I only needed 4 hours of sleep, and would often take a 30 minute nap in the dj booth before my set).
Mark R.:

LOVE "Child of the Moon," you hardly ever hear it. I discovered the truly strange video they made for it a few years ago--Brian Jones sort of lurking behind a tree. You could read all kinds of stuff into it.

Melbourne is my home city!
Mark R.:

I got less than 6 hours of sleep myself. But I'm currently not working, so I guarantee you there will be a nap after lunch.

Good morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37am

Chan Marshall!

uhh, a certain member of BL were friends of uni friends of mine (who lived next door in Brooklyn, random coincidence), and they had an after party after a show, and I somehow got tasked w/ procuring party favors. They had a couple shows upstate, and then had one in DC. So, apparently, they had been up for three days, and they threw it all out of the tour van before they hit DC. Nice lads, they....
Avatar 🥁 8:38am

Bonjour, Phillippe!!
Avatar 🥁 8:41am

what exactly did they toss out of the van, if you can say, ngh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am

@wolfgang: something that most likely originated in Colombia....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46am

(and they tossed a lot of it)

Joy Nwosu is from South Africa...
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:50am

Thanks, Stork!
Avatar 🥁 8:51am

Hello Stork. Surprised to find you on Friday
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy, Stork. Grazie!

Avatar 🥁 8:54am

duke!! welcome. We can always Count on Duke. The world is far less Baron with him around.
Avatar 🥁 8:54am

Been standing on one leg fun. See you later, Stork, and all.
Avatar 🥁 8:56am

Thank you all you sweet creatures! It was so fine to stand on Meghan's shoulders this morning. I'll be on on Sunday at noon, NY time with a special 3 hour+ show dedicated to Joanne Brackeen on her birthday. Come 1 and all!
