"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Avatar 9:13am βrian:

Trying to imagine this singer with congested sinuses ...
Avatar 9:14am TDK60:

Marty Balin could do oddball hippy music and more commercial pop. Great voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:14am MD:

Good Morning Faithful! MORE VYNAL PLEASE!!!
Avatar 9:14am βrian:

[Ach, wrong playlist. Sorry]
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15am The Oscar:

Morning! Appropriately enough, Andy Pratt was a regular customer at the record store I used to work at.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16am Krys O.:

Nice! Thanks for the Andy Pratt.
Avatar 9:17am thormagma:

Avatar 9:17am PKNY:

I remember that a snippet of this Andy Pratt track appearing in either a DJ Shadow song, or a Shadow tribute mix. Wholly appropriate.
  9:19am S.B.:

You can never fault a band that built a city on rock and roll; Even if they perhaps suck.
  9:21am prudy:

Andy Pratt of "Avenging Annie"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23am The Oscar:

If you spend enough time in the record stores of Cambridge, you will eventually receive an Andy Pratt business card, which reads "70s Rock Legend." He's a sweet guy.
Avatar 9:24am John Allen:

PK, it was Shadow, Prudy, same Pratt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am karlward:

Survey: is JA playing air piano right now?
  9:28am egould310:

“City Snow”; jazz tune or men’s fragrance?
Avatar 9:29am John Allen:

Karl, do mean it's always 5 oclock somewhere??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32am karlward:

  12:04pm Mike Wolf:

thank-you Bryce for bringing us yr hippie music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm David (in London):

The Action were such a great band. Can't help feeling that they would have prospered more if they hadn't plumped for 'Mighty Baby' as their successor name. Ye Gods, it's terrible.
  12:05pm pj:

It says right on Bryce's playlist page that he is "punctual." No other DJ tries to make that claim. How can he be late?
  12:06pm Crei6hton:

Chillin
  12:06pm Rory:

Great track!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm Ike:

Bryce, please scream at the filthy hippies!!!
  12:10pm Earth Walker:

Thanks for the show
