Do typewriters count as vocals?
Avatar 7:02pm dale:

frampton's guitar does.
  7:03pm mic_feedback:

Managing to jump in briefly to say Hi, and thanks for another year of Vocal Fry! Dan -- I know it violates the "human voice" clause of your mission statement, but perhaps sometime in 2020 you could do an all-animal edition? Mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, fish and all the branches of the family tree that I am forgetting. Are there micro-recordings of microbes? Thanks again!
Avatar 7:05pm Dan Bodah:

Hi Friers! Welcome all and happy new year. @mic_feedback, it's an intriguing idea. I did a pair of shows focused on human imitations of animals a couple of years back, but a show of actual non-human creature voices has a lot of possibilities. Thanks for the suggestion!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm Richard S:

Hmmm.... @mic_feedback, NASA has released "sounds" of the planets. They took data recordings and turned them into audio tracks....
Avatar 7:09pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Dan and all
Avatar 7:10pm Dan Bodah:

There's also David Rothenberg, who has done recordings and compositions with all manner of living beings, including insects. www.davidrothenberg.net
Avatar 7:12pm dale:

don't we have the beatle barkers?
Avatar 7:18pm Dan Bodah:

@dale -- what's that?
Avatar 7:20pm dale:

the beatle barkers is an album of dog barks edited together to mimic meet the beatles. it had airplay on the station a long time ago. gotta be on youtube.
Avatar 7:22pm dale:

this is pretty amazing.
Avatar 7:29pm ranjit:

I like the phrase "the potato to the meat of yodeling" a lot
Avatar 7:34pm Dan Bodah:

@ranjit, hahaha
  7:34pm chresti : phone->SF:

Hi fry! This sounds good!
Avatar 7:35pm Dan Bodah:

When it comes to overtone singing and yodeling, I guess there is a lot of room to argue over which is the meat and which the potato...
Avatar 7:35pm Dan Bodah:

Hi @chresti
  7:40pm chresti : phone->SF:

What about the green vegetable of yodeling ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm Richard S:

Yodeling peas?
Avatar 7:43pm coelacanth∅:

and when's desert? i'm ready for some yodel pie
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Richard S:

I'm thinking of a nice after dinner drink. Brandy or egg nog?
  7:45pm chresti : phone->SF:

Haha, yum-yodel
Avatar 7:48pm northguineahills:

@Richard S: yes!
Avatar 7:49pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm Richard S:

DB# 1. Ending the year with a fury. Looking for more extraordinary voice styles in 2020. HEALTH & HAPPINESS 4 (2020)
Avatar 7:55pm ranjit:

Egg yoodles
Avatar 7:56pm Dan Bodah:

@MM, much health and happiness back to you! And may all you Friers have cause to yodel throughout the new year!
  8:00pm chresti : phone->SF:

Thanks Dan! Happy new year!
  8:00pm P-90:

Have a Happy New Year Dan. And thanks for another year of the only radio show that makes my throat sore just from listening.
