  12:09am AlexP:

If only you knew how inspiring your shows might be for some philosophers-antipodes waking up here on the other side of the world…
  12:10am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

  12:11am P-90:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am diciassette:

I forgot to panic about nav katze last week! Oh, hello!
  12:25am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

I like how we’ve gone from daring to play songs slowed down to playing them outright. smart show evolution!
  12:26am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

Hi dici! Were you the one telling me about 89 dead shoreline shows? If so I have reportback
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35am diciassette:

Hi g.b.! If it were 1989, and I suddenly found myself at the shoreline, at a dead show, I'd be VERY disoriented!
  12:39am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

Ah. My mistake. Maybe someone else who comments during this show
  12:40am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

How are you at any rate dici?
  12:41am BH:

reporting in to say my Tuesday was busy and my neck is sore for some reason. But I did get my drivers license renewed (the wait was enough that I knew I could get a spot in line and leave to get lunch)
  12:46am BH:

also there's a cat asleep in a chair here
  12:52am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

I am here for flute solos
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52am diciassette:

not bad, g.b.! Anything interesting going on in the kitchen? (there is a reasonable possibility I'll decide what to cook for dinner, soon)
  12:54am Joe from NJ:

Hey Zoe B! Can you mention WFMU’s October Hellraiser pledge drive? I bet you would get a lot of pledges from those listening around the world. Love your show!
  1:03am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

A little vini reilly in that mallet. Nice!
  1:05am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

Iridescent madrigals of stargazing
Swag For Life Member 1:42am disantlor:

the rest of the song really justifies that solo. vocals sound like scott walker and sparks mashup
  1:44am greatbarrington in the kitchen:

Sounds perfect dici. How are there so many different packages and so many good ones? P.s. a little cheesy could never be divisive
  1:46am ZoeBPhan:

Zoe I am not allowed to listen to your show any more. Sorry
  1:47am ZoeBPhan:

  1:51am ParUbi:

greetings from Tannersville.

The GF sez big thanks Zoe for the Magma set, was singing to the lyrics!
  2:35am old ERIC thee hat:

Random interjection, and I apologize, but I have a friend in NYC area for a week for work, and he’s hoping to catch a swell rock and roll show, but I’m out of the loop as far as diy venues and such are concerned. (Last time I was around, the silent barn was still functioning.) Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
Avatar 2:37am Zoe B:

le poisson rouge (sp?), alphaville, sunnyvale, windjammer are all good places to check!
  2:39am old ERIC thee hat:

Nice. Thanks Zoe!
  2:41am old ERIC thee hat:

I might actually have to also go back and review Rich Hazleton’s rundown. He always has some great suggestions.
  2:43am ParUbi:

I’m happy — I didn’t know he also wrote poetry
  2:44am greatbarrington:

had a friend who saw Cecil in the '90s. he said everyone in the audience got mad because he opened the set with an extemded poem, shouting like, "play dude" but i like his written work. you can hear his playing in it. all around genius
  2:46am greatbarrington:

of course then he proceeded to get on that Bosendorfer and rock it out for like an hour
  2:48am ParUbi:

Nice. Of course he’s a poet— he’s one on the keys
  2:50am greatbarrington:

Think of how many percussion instruments poets have
Avatar 2:53am tak:

sticks, stones, etc
  2:54am BH:

the backing track sounds like something that is playing in a Tiki Bar restaurant
Avatar 2:56am Zoe B:

hehe well i do like tiki bars
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57am diciassette:

gee whiz who doesn't, thanks Zoe!
  3:00am greatbarrington:

This perfectly rounded out my day, and I am safely from kitchen to sleepytime. Thanks Zoe!
  3:00am BH:
