@chresti: Welcome!

this sounds like hang in there cat poster music

Heya Gaylord and friends.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
Gaylord Fields:

@choggie: I don't know what that means, and that might be your deliberately obtuse point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Carmichael: Hey hey!

Higher end stuff if memory serves

Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Gaylord and all. I hope I'm not assessed a 15-yard penalty for piling on with the compliments.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56pm
Gaylord Fields:

@John from Florham park: Hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Ken From Hyde Park: Please. Don't. Stop.

There’s a band in the park playing sloppy 70s covers. FMU now more than ever.
John from Florham park:

@Carmichael that has to suck a lot

I liked M83’s music in Knife + Heart.
David Colangelo:

Yo mr dj...1966, Marina City, Chicago....opening WCFL VIP room...bands in attendance...New Colony Six, American Breed, ....my brother and I were there too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09pm
Gaylord Fields:

Very nice @David Colangelo.

Wasn’t 1966 kind of a turning point between A&R people telling people what to listen to versus the “youth of the day” demanding what to hear?

Regardless, hello Gaylord!

i love portrait of leda. thanks gaylord for giving the peoplé what they want.

Gaylord Fields:

@JakeGould: Hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13pm
Gaylord Fields:

@rich: Leda Annest -- for those who find Yma Sumac too staid.

Speaking of giving the people what they want — and insight into my personal MP3 curation — AC/DC should just get off of their high horse and give the people what they want: “Back in Black” plus the only other four pre-1980s singles people care about without that stupid “Big Balls” track.

I love this 60s hi fi high brow stuff. I should put on my smoking jacket.

For those who don’t know, AC/DC doesn’t release greatest hits CDs and the bootleg (aka: Russian and such) compilations are filled with their 1980s and onward dreck.

@Carmichael: You know who is most probably wearing a smoking jacket right now? Wilbur Ross.
John from Florham park:

@Jakegould wonder why AC/DC won’t do that?

Because AC/DC are auteurs who demand you listen to 7 mediocre versions of the same song they always play before listening to the one tolerable version of the same song they always play on each album.

I'll never walk on by to your show Gaylord...saw Dionne this summer...scintallating...soothing...sensual...the pride of orange, nj...talked to her about Burt Bacharach after the show...what a beautiful moment...
John from Florham park:

@jakegould in other words they feel their shit don’t stink

Wilbur Ross should be forced to wear a jacket that is literally smoking because it is on fire.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm
Gaylord Fields:

@highway: What a beautiful story! You must have been in heaven talking to her after hearing her sing!

@sugarwolf: Every see that guy’s fancy slippers? It would be great if he just burst into a cloud of smoke and only ashes and those slippers remained.

My smoking jacket happens to be at the dry cleaners this weekend. Does that make me a bad person...?

Their older brother George Young managed the group, and was burned many times in his heyday. He ruled their releases with an iron fist.

@Carmichael: Wonder if they have t-shirt revenue fights just like the Ramones did?

Amy Camus got some lungs are on her.

Inexplicably, he allowed the Oakland Raiders to use Hells Bells. But nobody else got nothin’.

Tommy in Neversink:

Exotica has been my favorite music genre for a few years now. Great show Gaylord

My parents would frequent a Polynesian restaurant in the 60s, and we kids would hear this as background music. Andre Kostelanz and Martin Denny were burned in my young brain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44pm
Alex of Chicago:

only caught the last couple songs, but loving it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45pm

@medson: You are a true friend!

I’ve been listening since the start, enjoying some drinks with a couple of girlfriends whilst you put together this exceptionally beautiful show. Thank you, Gaylord. I’ve enjoyed every minute.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm
Gaylord Fields:

@djsheilab: I am honored to have been your soundtrack! Much love to you and your girlfriends!

The band at the park would never play this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Carmichael: Perhaps not like this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm
Gaylord Fields:

Thanks, everyone! I really enjoyed doing this show, as well as your virtual company! Have a happy autumn, starting tomorrow!

Baptize me in wine, because I love this Natacha Atlas version of “I Put a Spell on You.”

Now I'm piling on with "thank yous," so it's first and 25. Gaylord, go long!
See you next time.
