The gamers as well as the visitors are immersed inside an infinitely mirrored acousmatic-visual 3d-world. The phenomenon of the so-called mirror neurons has been the starting point and the source of inspiration for the interactive installation Mirror Cells. These neurons that were for the first time experimentally proofed in 1991 not only fire in an action but also when an action is observed, thus mirroring the behaviour in a looped potential that does not cause an action. This is considered a possible key to the understanding of complex social behaviours like language, culture or empathy. / See more here: https://www.digitalartarchive.at/database/general/work/mirror-cells.html    1:47:00 (Pop‑up)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06am CarolCrow:

@jkeigh@6:05: Haha. Yes:) :) Good morning!
Avatar 6:09am Sem:

Heh: this music is accompaning my view of a scallop dragger steaming down the high tide estuary on its way to sea. These vessels are kind of little brave engines that could, stubby and cute, but working the North Atlantic year-round.
Good morning, Ms. Crow, and hello, the moonstruck.
  6:10am David in London:

Morning Carol and all moonlit groovers.

Some quality late Sixties space rock goes well with a very late breakfast. (David’s psychedelic breakfast you could even call it...)

  7:12am sweet cheri:

it's really wonderful hanging out with you this sunday morning, carol!!
Avatar 7:12am TDK60:

..in a German name like Bernstein, 'ei' rhymes with time; 'ie' is as in Springsteen, Bruce.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14am CarolCrow:

Thank you, jkeigh & TDK!
Avatar 7:14am TDK60:

I'm entre-mondes too -- between sleep and caffeine's effects. (Wait a minute, the 'ei' in caffeine is a "ee" sound. Oh, it's not German...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16am CarolCrow:

Good morning, Peter! Glad to hear it! I hope you find some goodies:) :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17am CarolCrow:

@TDK@7:14: Ha! :)
Avatar 7:24am TDK60:

...went to the record faire yesterday. Saw the movie on the Slits. Saw the Gories live. Kept to my low budget, spent $27 on one LP and 3 CDs.
  7:28am sweet cheri:

Avatar 7:38am medow:

good morning, dope set!
  7:38am elasticman:

Carol have you seen the movie about All Tomorrow’s Parties? Uses the same iggy quote and music I think! Loving the show
Avatar 7:39am TDK60:

..what were my finds? 1. the LP = "3R4" by Bruce Gilbert & Graham Lewis - of Wire; (reissue, orig. 1980; "noise-ambient") 2. Robert Rich - "A Troubled Resting Place" (1996; "space") 3. PJ Harvey - "Uh Huh Her" (2004) 4. The Chills - "Somewhere Beautiful" (2013). #s 1 & 2 would fit into this program nicely.

  7:44am ignatatus666:

Is it me or does each week out moonlight the prior week?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45am jkeigh:

@ignatatus I used to think the same thing but how can you compare one beautiful full moon week to another.
Avatar 7:48am TDK60:

also bumped into another at the cheap CD bins who'd found Godspeed You Black Emperor's "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven" double album. He didn't know what it was. I said he was in for a treat..

Carol, it's Mardit, rather than Martin...
Avatar 8:00am TDK60:

...had a nice chat with a young woman looking at a Rip, Rig & Panic LP. We talked about their hometown, Bristol.
Avatar 8:04am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

Bristol is a really cool city TDK. A real cultural hotspot, and with a strong independent streak. They have their own currency - the Bristol Pound, apparently
Avatar 8:05am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

Avatar 8:07am TDK60:

Kevin_Ringwood_UK: I visited there last summer! My host said rhetorically "Why would you want to live anywhere else?" I couldn't answer. Enjoyed St. Nicholas Market and M-Shed museum, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17am Ken From Hyde Park:

Yay for moon power!
Avatar 8:18am TDK60:

Said hello to WFMU station mgr. Ken. Also, volunteer coordinator Scott Williams. They were busy. Had a New Zealand-style mini-pie. (Now you know more than you need to know about my day at the record faire..hee.)

Swag For Life Member 8:29am Manana:

Morning, Carol and fans. Late riser today. Hockey game went past midnight. And such a gray upstate morning. May just go back to sleep. After my coffee. This whistling synthesized sound is just about right.
Avatar 8:33am TDK60:

...in Bristol, also stopped into The Exchange - a punk café also with record store (Specialist Subject Records) and music venue upstairs. Nice people.
  8:36am John from Florham Park:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43am CarolCrow:

Morning, Manana! Perfect day for late rising:)
Avatar 8:43am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

Sorry TDK, had to go and have my lunch... sounds like you had a great trip. I used to stay with a friend in the Montpelier district of Bristol, especially during the Ashton Court music festival, which was a regular thing back in the late '80s and early '90s, but hasn't happened for a number of years now. That was alternative Bristol encapsulated, and extremely eclectic
