Hi mark. Yr 3am show was way cool, when I was sleeping. During waking hours, I realize you play some weird sh*t. Rock on!
  10:23pm
markr:

Thank you (I think!)

I keep meaning to listen to the Bob Balaban interview you did. I shall. -- George Cameron died suddenly, he of the Left Banke. I saw the band at Littlefield, 5,6...yrs ago. So so good. RIP.
  10:39pm
markr:

Oh, wow, I loved that song "Walk Away Renee," so much.
  10:44pm
markr:

If you guys have headphones on, I'm finding that the music I've been playing tonight gets better the louder you listen to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46pm

I just have ya turned up loud on my receiver !!!
Avatar 10:46pm

I'll turn it down, or will I?

As long as it's LOUD!

Yes, loud and proud!

And I love love Billy Bragg's "walk away (version)" while good friend hates hates it. George Cameron joked about marijuana joint at the show, and lo and behold, one fell out of his pocket (by accident).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52pm

Same here sounds great loud . Had a problem cap replaced and its ready to sing for another 40 yrs

i just heard "she may call you up tonight" on an ichiban show earlier, which i like even more than walk away renee (but not as much as "pretty balerina")

Just tuning in--this is usually the new time slot for Avant Ghetto, isn't it?

coelacanth∅:

there's a track by either Jan Bark or maybe Alan Courtis that has a recording of a fly buzzing around , well into it. though i love the sounds of flying creatures, it's very disconcerting whilst trying to sleep. the first time i played it i turned on the light and spent quite some time waiting to see it, and kill it. (i wont sleep with a fly in the room)

markr:

This dude in the studio tonight is bold, too. He was walking around on the keyboard of my laptop. He's so heavy, I'm surprised he didn't type out a comment.

Mark — A few weeks ago, on an early Monday Morning, you played “Largo Al Factotum,” the beautiful Aria from “The Barber Of Seville.“ You inspired me buy the entire Opera on CD. Thank you, Mark
  11:38pm
markr:

Yes, Coel, again I think it was his personal problems that torpedoed that group. Wow, that's great to hear, Marc!
Avatar 11:41pm

Well Mark you have the flie. I (the proud one) just had a visit from a bird/ Eurasian magpie. It was only a second or two but what the heck
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43pm
coelacanth∅:

yeah i guess he and Jack Bruce couldn't get along, putting an end to cream. it's too bad Bruce didn't want to start a new group with a new drummer and guitarist. could've been just as good.
  11:46pm
markr:

He did, a couple times. They weren't. (West, Bruce and Laing is one that springs to mind.)

...but then, (even though i think Clapton has always been very overrated) i'm not sure Lesley and Corky would've been up to the task, if in fact Jack presented them with material as good as he had with cream.
(not to dis them either. both excellent)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57pm

(...both excellent, but not oriented toward blues like Clapton and Baker)
