Nice how many decades been waiting for this early time slot?
  12:07am
Mark R:

Just filling in tonight, Beavo. This is Suzy Hotrod's timeslot for the summer.
  12:11am
phat:

Grizzly Bear really are quite good.
  12:11am
Mark R:

Saw them Friday night in Montclair, phat. This song especially really knocked me out!
  12:13am
phat:

If they ever come around here again, I'll check them out
  12:14am
Mark R:

Where is "here," phat?
  12:16am
phat:

Lincoln, NE
  12:19am
Mark R:

Looks like the closest they're coming is Kansas City on the 29th--road trip!
  12:20am
rw:

Hola.
  12:21am
Mark R:

Hola yourself, rw.
  12:23am
rw:

I never get to hear much more than the first couple minutes of Circle Time. Looking forward to a bigger chunk this evening!
  12:24am
phat:

oh shit! I hadn't seen that. I might actually be able to make that.
  12:26am
Mark R:

Tentatively scheduled to fill in for Jeff next Sunday at 10, but it's not officially confirmed yet. So you might be able to catch an even bigger chunk next week. Check our fill-in schedule in the next couple of days.

missed that Beth Orton album somehow...

Steve B._Parsippany_NJ:

Christ's Bride is considered to be the "Christian Church"...NOT the building/s, but the body of Christian believers.
  1:02am
BEAVO:

Sorry didn’t realize you were just filling in hadn’t looked at my schedule lately, you deserve an earlier time slot if you want it!
  1:05am
BEAVO:

Really, good that’s not usually the case.
  1:05am
Mark R:

Thanks Beavo, well, we'll see what happens come autumn. Thanks for the info, Steve--still though, "Do you ENJOY the body of Christian believers?" Still kind of an odd question. But I'm just gonna have to let this one go...

Must get the Budd Box! Probably should *zed zed zed zed....*

BEAVO:

I’m still catching up with all the great obscure German band music that was released in 1973 Popul Vuh etc.
  1:12am
Mark R:

I know, it's daunting. Pick a year and there are like 100 great albums we probably missed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am
Johanne Kristine:

It's not really a question. "Fryd dig" is imperativ - and probably more rejoice than enjoy. (Tired Dane - too early for grammar) (Thanks for making my morning better. great music!)
  1:14am
Mark R:

Glad you're enjoying the music, I certainly hope it's better than my Danish!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18am
Johanne Kristine:

danish is a horrible language to learn, mark, (but finnish is worse!) i'm just so very happy that it isn't me who has to pronounce all those names and titles in different languages. you're doing great!
  1:19am
Mark R:

I mostly only have to deal with English here, so I'm on (fairly) solid ground.

Saw Hendrix live in Feb. 1970 at the Winter Festival for Peace (?) at Madison Sq. Garden. HUGE bill. 8 PM -- 3 AM. Awesome!!!
  2:11am
Mark R:

Wasn't that the concert where he walked off after just a few songs?
Avatar 2:15am
Steve B._Parsippany_NJ:

Yes, Mark. I think it was Billy Preston(?) who gave him some junk. They claimed JH had a very bad cold. He played then just sat in front of the amplifiers/speakers hugging his knees. Sad. Blood, Sweat and Tears and the Rascals were awesome!
Avatar 2:16am
Steve B._Parsippany_NJ:

Goodnight folks! Mark, thanks for the great music. Catch you soon, I hope!
  2:17am
Mark R:

As I said earlier, I think I'll be back next Sunday at 10 filling in for Jeff. I'll be filling in for Jesse on July 2, 3-6 am for sure.
  2:32am
Ajay:

beautiful Mary Lattimore track!
  2:55am
Mark R:

Thanks for listening. Stay tuned for more spectacular weirdness with Jesse!
