I drink about 4 cups of real coffee a year.
Avatar 11:34am Faye:

wow- I went to preschool & took college classes at Hamilton College & my best friend in elementary school had a house on lake moraine. I know that one intersection like the back of my hand! I wonder what it would be like to enjoy that area, I just associate it with adolescent malaise & growing pains
  11:35am paul:

Murry, damnit!
Avatar 11:37am Michael Shelley:

It hasnt changed much in the 25 years I've been going there, though the folks at Colgate have paid for some cosmetic upgrades to the tiny downtown.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41am Parq:

That Jerry thing was like watching what's shaping up to be a no-hitter. The closer he gets to the end, the more suspense you're in waiting to see if he can go all the way.
  11:42am Mr C:

Ask Winfield about Jimmy Bishop, great Philadelphia, WDAS dj and co-owner of Arctic Records, who completely disappeared later in life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am Tommy in Neversink:

But I thought Jerry Lewis did a great job on Whole lot of Shaking and Great Balls of Fire.....you're just not playing the good stuff Michael
  11:46am nardo:

"That Old Black Magic" sung by Mr. Love is still one of my favorites https://youtu.be/HQ2dJnVqd6g

Re Hamilton, NY : I grew up grew up in the country ( NC) lived in NYC 30 years and now I'm back in the country (upstate NY) people are not nicer in the country...it's complicated
  11:47am paul:

I like Jerry's work with the Watson twins.
  11:47am david from ks.:

,,,,,,I remember reading about Jerry in all desperation before a show sent his guy with a thousand dollars to pick up ten percodans they located .
Avatar 11:49am Michael Shelley:

Agree - the world is very complicated - but, without doubt, people who work in shops in Hamilton NY are, on average, much more friendly and polite and laid back then similar workers in Northern New Jersey

I'm not a coffee drinker at all, but I drink tea like a fiend.
Avatar 11:57am Michael Shelley:

I'm happier/healthier since I stopped daily caffeine intake.
  11:57am dano59:

Paul - good one.
I was always more of a Dean guy ...

I drove up to a few Hamilton College shows in the Yellow Barn. John Wesley Harding was one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Tommy in Neversink:

I worked at grocery stores in NC and NYC there was twice as much work to get done in NYC.....just that much more volume...People that work in metro areas generally have a lot more work to do so they don't have time to be as friendly . But anyway Michael.. I consider you very friendly. Friendly enough to put in the work and bring us these great shows
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59am Tommy in Neversink:

I can't drink coffee due to stomach problems.....I'm very frustrated..but I put away the tea
Avatar 11:59am Michael Shelley:

It is truly my pleasure!

SteveI -- I believe Rock's Backpages has some interviews in its archive. I love what Cherie wrote about Kim when he was entering terminal care and, when he died, Susan Cowsill's memory from age 16 of him asking her to front the Runaways -- "be my jailbait Mick Jagger". Both on Facebook.
