Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51am Ken From Hyde Park:

Bluh....I got locked out of my house a bit ago. A helpful neighbor helped me sneak in the back door. Don't tell anyone, please. I don't want any robbers to know this.
Avatar 9:53am Joe McG:

@ken: Oh no, Ken! That happened to me once and I had to smash a window since my landlord was out of town and I don't know how to pick locks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am Guido from Cologne:

Also just red, Paul Buff wrote the song.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21am Ken From Hyde Park:

I like this more than the Boston original!
  10:24am Steve:

Joe, was this high school version of More than a Feeling recorded this year or in the 70's ? Good version. Almost has a musical feel to it.
Avatar 10:25am Joe McG:

@Steve: I'm pretty sure it was around the time when it was popular. @bonneville: I do, too! Something about the poignant feeling of loss and nostalgia in the lyric really hits home when you hear high school kids singing it.
Avatar 10:27am βrian:

Just spent a week in the woods of norther Wisconsin, haunted by the Buddy Scott Trio. Damn Station Manager Ken!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29am annie:

my most memorable high school chorus somgs were the songs from "Man of La Mancha".. and actually all through elementary and into high school, i had been in love with many of those schlocky lyrics..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30am fred:

Good morning Joe and all. Got some computer scare, so I couldn't check in earlier. I really need to buy a new one. I guess 12 years is enough

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am pantz:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am Ken From Hyde Park:

I was going to suggest that nuage was a reference to New Age music, like Enya & Yanni, but I'll trust fred's translation over that.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36am annie:

i was hoping it was something cool like a swarm of bees, or a huge paper-wasp nest... next time, joe...
Avatar 11:40am Joe McG:

@annie: We had a swarm of bees here in our volunteer office a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't so much fun!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40am Ken From Hyde Park:

This story would make a good movie! Or one of those TV series things that SM Ken highlights.
Avatar 11:42am Joe McG:

I agree, Ken! Marc has a heckuva story.
  11:45am Brendan:

Nice interview. I was gonna say props to your the MFMU recording engineer on those songs, but it sounds like Marc's got a lot to do with it too. Warm , intimate fidelity suits the songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am annie:

it's pretty intimidating, those swarms.. the blessing is that when bees swarm, they are surprisingly docile as group, from what i hear.. i had a swarm in the tree on my property long ago. they were fixated... a fascinating event, really..
Avatar 11:47am Joe McG:

@Brendan: Thanks! I talked to Marc for a long time and could only include some of it. He toured Spain last year and it looks as if Munster in Spain will be reissuing "Years" and "12 in a Room" on vinyl soon! Thanks to Marc and Engineer Glenn for a nice, warm sound.
