Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm coelacanth:

greetings Fabio and failure delegates
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm (Eyepatch) Fox:

Hello world.
  3:49pm World:

I'm hot and tired.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm moon:

you ARE hot!
  3:53pm Clay:

Jacques LeJeune. I listened to him so much I started to have an allergic reaction to his music. I realized this when I actually developed "Jacques Itch" and had to buy a tube of Lanacane Aural.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm chris:

<crumples up note paper, throws it at Clay>
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm coelacanth:

i hate when that happens.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm coelacanth:

that happened to me when i was little, when Jacques Cousteau was on tv a lot.
  3:58pm Clay:

Jacques itch in the eyes is bad, Coelacanth. You probably had to use Murine Ultra for that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm coelacanth:

i used mk ultra. 'same thing, right?
Avatar 4:00pm TDK60:

The LeJuene sounds interesting, almost current-like; '69-'70! The U. Umbo reminded of Tim Hecker a bit.
  4:03pm Clay:

It's whispered that Murine was linked at one point to the MK Ultra program, as was peach-flavored Binaca.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm Carmichael:

Heya Fabio & punsters. I, for one, am ready to rock.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm (Eyepatch) Fox:

Oh hooray! It sounds like Terrance Dicks era science fiction!
Avatar 4:09pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Every time I hear Philip Jeck here, I wonder why the hell do I not have any in zee collection...
Avatar 4:12pm Cecile:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm Planet Tyler:

  4:13pm mto:

qui! cest Baudelaire mon amis!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm coelacanth:

well i don't know about that,Clay, but the Murine sure got my eyes under control.
No More Tears!™

...that peace-flavored binaca had some weird side-effects though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm chris:

i once lit my path home through the woods, on a dark snowy night, by igniting sprays of binaca with my lighter... true story.
Avatar 4:19pm Cecile:

1941 is good for about 40 minutes. The soundtrack is pretty great, though. It's one of my husband's favorites.
Avatar 4:19pm Cecile:

aw, Popeye!
Avatar 4:20pm Chris from DC:

Dune! Yeah, that is so bad it's good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Carmichael:

  4:20pm Hervey:

Popeye is a wonder.
  4:21pm mto:

I am what I am! I am what I am! I am what I am I am! - merde!!
Avatar 4:21pm Cecile:

I saw it twice. Of course we were Nilsson nuts, and there wasn't a lot to do in Houghton in '80, but still.
  4:21pm Ligule:

Not Lynch. Alan Smithee.
Avatar 4:21pm Cecile:

Once in a while, I can still pull off Shelley Duvall singing "he's large".
  4:22pm JakeGould:

Logging in to say: I saw Popeye when I was 12 years old. It stunk so bad. Ruined any future appreciation of Altman’s work I could have. Seriously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm coelacanth:

chris- that stuff is a savior.
  4:32pm nEIL cOMMA wILD:

This Funky Dollar Bill is inSANE.
  4:33pm ?:

supposedly they tried to record this entire album from start to finish while on acid
  4:34pm Dean:

Accordingly, one should try to listen to it start to finish while on acid.
  4:42pm nEIL cOMMA wILD:

I'd rather try to learn how to play my classical guitar...but I gotta get the right Mel Bay book first....
  4:47pm Santos L Halper:

Fantastic set Fabio. Stone coal white is new to me..,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:48pm chris:

Stone Coal White sure beats stone cold sober...
  5:10pm Flow-er:

@ Chris--was your breath fresh in those woods? I remember watching my brother from inside the back porch one night as he sprayed Ronsonol lighter fluid out of his mouth in a fine mist and lit it up with a lighter--we were big Kiss fans
  5:15pm Pete L:

This is a SUN RA track or a complete rip off from "Languidity" I think is the album what is going on?
  5:16pm Pete L:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17pm chris:

hehehe, i honestly don't remember if i used any for its intended purpose, Flow-er... just spraying from the aerosol container over a lit lighter to get a flash of the next 20 feet of the path home.
Avatar 5:17pm david_:

oh, it IS Sun Ra.... :) Hi evlybody!
  5:18pm Pete L:

Is that out on CD or reissued?
Avatar 5:22pm V Priceless:

this reminds me of Ubu's "a small dark cloud" a bit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24pm YETI BOB:

Fabio - it's Norwegian for "the critical point"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm YETI BOB:

(the band is an Italian/Norwegian collaboration, my sources inform me)
Avatar 5:26pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Lanquidity = brilliant bloody record. It's my go-to LP when someone asks where to start with Ra... It's the perfect icebreaker.
Avatar 5:27pm david_:

whoa Julian Pressley on bari not Julian Priester on trombone
  5:28pm Pete L:

Sun Ra gets funky on "Lanquidity"
Avatar 5:38pm david_:

Le Son'yr Ra lays on the STANKitude!
Avatar 5:39pm V Priceless:

for after the show: drop a tab and enjoy some new bowie: www.youtube.com...
  5:40pm Guy Walker:

Hamburger Lady indeed. Say hi to Ruth for me, please.
Avatar 5:46pm david_:

That guy was talking French! We 'muricans like French people now!
Avatar 5:48pm dale:

did i miss a good show? i was watching 'once upon a time in the west.' wasn't gonna watch but when i heard the man with a harmonica theme i was hooked.
Avatar 5:53pm david_:

Holy moly, for a second I thought the guy talking with the delay was Fabio!
Avatar 5:53pm david_:

Could someone please tell me what the horn bed music is? I swear I liked the actual set music, too!
5:55pm The Ghost of Jacques Cousteau:

I'm going to go off and invent the Prog Suit now.
  5:55pm Linda Lee:

brilliant show today Fabio. beautiful accompaniment to the day's activities (generally a total failure).
if it wasn't for the music .. i'd just jump out the front door & drown.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Uncle Michael:

Proto-Kaw is basically guys that were in precursor bands to Kansas. It's the name those guys play inder now...not then. Kaw is the name of the river and valley we're in here...where Kansas hails from.
Avatar 5:56pm Marcel M:

He's peeled back the reptilian layer! haha
Avatar 5:59pm Marcel M:

Wow, the image of Fabio hitting a bong... not so hard to imagine Clay doing it, though.
Avatar 5:59pm dale:

clay would drink the water
  6:00pm Linda Lee:

can't imagine Clay without it, Marcel ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00pm chris:

thanks, Fabio, All!
