FWIW, on 9-11 I walked over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan since some friends were still there and I thought I could help in some way. Of course I got turned back and walked back to the other side. But for months after that I would have panic attacks walking across any bridge anywhere. It took about 4-5 walks over bridges for me to finally shake that off.
Avatar 5:00pm
V Priceless:

good for you, steve - heights is a big prob here too. Sure wish it wasn't - I think it's more of a 'close to the edge' thing though (no, not the record).

VP - with the fear of heights / close to the edge thing... it baffles me how many bridge walkways have guard rails that are only waist high, trying to be rational, i cannot understand how people aren't accidentally falling over the edges all the time. seems like it would be pretty easy to trip and go fall over the rail, especially on a bike

DDP - I used to be TERRIFIED of roaches. Then I (unknowingly, of course) moved into a house infested with them. Fixed that shit right away.
