Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:14pm Irene Trudel:

Hi Everybody! Just settling in for the evening. Glad you liked the Byrds opener. Just thought of it on the drive over, as I was in a jangly mood to start tonight.
Avatar 9:14pm Van in DC:

Can I make a request for next week Irene?

KaTe - December Will Be Magic Again

My favorite Christmas song :)
  9:16pm will:

Feels kind of good to hear you in this time slot. Histoire a suivre...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm Irene Trudel:

THanks Will. I think I've grown to like it. Van, I will try to remember KaTe for next week. I'll be doing my version of a Christmas show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm fleep:

Greetings Irene, and the jangly and unjangly.
Avatar 9:22pm Danne D:

Some of us think it was a subliminal choice to open with Irene ;) :)
Avatar 9:23pm Van in DC:

Thanks, and okay if you can't.

Just remember though - when that DVD of her recent live shows comes out, you have one coming your way, from me.
Avatar 9:26pm Van in DC:

I saw also that Sharon Van Etten's "Are We There" album got some nice year-end honors, and well deserved. What an incredible album. I think I've listened to it about 115 times
Avatar 9:29pm Van in DC:

Un-issued. I wish I was Un-issued. :)
  9:31pm P-90:

Whew, TUESday. Glad I got those two days back, I almost panicked for a moment there. Holiday season greetings, DJ Irene, and a most worthy first set!
Avatar 9:38pm Van in DC:

Bill! I've really enjoying hearing his work here on FMU
  9:41pm JakeGould:

Avatar 9:50pm Van in DC:

Irene - have you zeroed in on anyone to come in live soon? I know you wanted to settle in to the new time slot first.

Marissa? Eliza? Bill? SVE? Daughter?
  9:51pm kathy:

This is fantastic
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm Irene Trudel:

There's a really nice version in a video I've posted to my Facebook page: www.facebook.com...
Avatar 9:53pm Mugsy:

Good evening Miss Trudel and hello to all on the board.
Avatar 9:57pm Van in DC:

This seems to have like, oh, three different decades or so of influence. Interesting
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:58pm chris:

Hello, Irene and Gang! Really enjoying the show as I work late, here in rainy NorCal.
Avatar 10:02pm Van in DC:

FMU archives are just the best. One of the greatest inventions, ever.
Avatar 10:06pm Van in DC:

Rare white dear? Ouch.

But bet it tasted good....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm Irene Trudel:

Van, as for live music, I have a couple of things pending for January. None of those folks, but it will be good.
Avatar 10:11pm Van in DC:

Oh! Then, Kawehi? Kitaro? Austra? Joshua Bell?

Fleetwood Mac?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm Ganyoon:

Great sounds for my Tuesday night graphics throw down!
Avatar 10:15pm Van in DC:

Oh, I know: The Pentangle! Tangerine Dream! Peter Gabriel! Toyah! Cocteau Twins! David Sylvian!

Avatar 10:17pm Van in DC:

I like this a lot. It's actually kind of sort of reminiscent of Liz Frazer... a little...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

HulloHullo - I lurketh - but must say 'SomeWinters' is a gorgeous thing (...makes me realize how much I miss 'Dark Night of the Soul', but oh well it makes no difference if I do)...
Avatar 10:20pm Van in DC:

Now when was the last time you played This Mortal Coil? Liz Fraser was awesome in that group as well. They were so great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Wasn't Scott Appel on the show not long ago?

I forget.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27pm Jeezy:

Is it just me or is Irene's show even better at night? Fantastic!
Avatar 10:28pm Van in DC:

This show is never not good, just saying :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30pm Irene Trudel:

Scott was on my show many years ago in the 1990s. He sadly passed away in 2003. My friend Don Sternecker, who runs Mix-O-Lydian Studio recorded his albums. I got to sit in on a session Scott recorded there. He was a really talented interpreter of Nick Drake songs.
  10:32pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

Hi Irene, hello one and all
Avatar 10:33pm Van in DC:

Ah, thanks Irene. I think I must just be remembering your playing him then, recently. I like.
Avatar 10:33pm Van in DC:

Hi Sean!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34pm Jeezy:

Speaking of affecting singers from your shows in the 90's, Irene... DO you remember a song by/about a guy named Bill who dies of AIDS and is estranged from his horrible parents? It was performed live on your show. It mentioned books on occultism and a poster of Led Zeppelin and was around the same time Lenny Molotov played on the show, maybe even part of a Sidewalk showcase?
  10:34pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

Hey Van!
