Turntable 3, the Grinch of WFMU?
Avatar 3:08am Jeff Conklin:

Hey P-90, same to you.

  3:13am P-90:

Better not be another fucking racoon
Am I the only one having stream problems? Anyone?
Avatar 3:15am Jeff Conklin:

Everything looks fine here, man. Just checked the app and the stream is flowing...
  3:17am rolyn:

life IS a constant journey home. streaming in nevada
  3:20am P-90:

Now it's good. I had Pop-up and 128k on iTunes both dropping out for a few minutes, even after relaunching the browser.
Fahey: an excellent choice for exception that proves the rule
  3:20am rw:

My stream was acting up a minute ago but that's normal around here. I wouldn't use it as an indication of anything.
  3:22am rw:

Hey Jeff! No apologies necessary for dirth of holiday music. Raccoon stories!
  3:23am jakob:

Good morning Jeff! Good call on the Jerry Moore.
Avatar 3:24am Jeff Conklin:

Morning rw and jakob. I love that Moore album so much!
  3:25am jakob:

Yeah, thx for the reminder. Just pulled mine from the shelf to play later.
  3:27am P-90:

I just wanna know if the Raccoon Home Invasion happened the same week as the Great Jersey City Racc-Out. Like is this a pattern? Like "The Birds" with racoons? I just don't want to play the Susanne Pleshette part...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27am Wynford Eagle:

Good morning jeff - wonderful start to the show. Streams all fine for me too (32k) on the Dorset coast inna Ingalnd. Can i recommend VLC as your open source media player, rather than using itunes (yuck) - it is solid. have a great day jeff and all!
  3:28am rw:

My best raccoon story is second hand but I think it's pretty good.. it's better if you know my friend Matt. He and his friends had a raccoon in a cage. They would sit in a circle around the cage in the garage, get stoned, turn out the lights and open the cage door.
Avatar 3:29am Jeff Conklin:

ok, ill tell the story next break
  3:33am rolyn:

more madrigal?
Avatar 3:33am Jeff Conklin:

Not this week, Rolyn.

Avatar 4:00am Larst:

effective tweet, glad to be reminded yr on!
  4:05am P-90:

Oh I BET you closed that bathroom door quickly
  4:06am John in Texas:

Good morning......do love me a good raccoon story!
Avatar 4:10am Jeff Conklin:

Morning, Larst and John. Thanks for checking in.

What I didnt say on air was Harold shit all over the place and it was everywhere: walls, ceiling, sink.
  4:12am P-90:

Were you renting the place? Did the landlord get everything repaired in reasonably good time?
  4:12am rw:

Thanks JC. Glad nobody got shot. So he broke into your house to take a shit in your bathroom?
Avatar 4:14am Jeff Conklin:

my roommate had left the kitchen window open and he got in that way. We have cheap rent and dare not ask the landlord for raccoon assitance. Made my roommate clean up the mess
  4:24am rw:

Good story. Better with the off-air details. My stream is acting up again which is reminding me that it's darned late. Have a good week all!

Avatar 4:39am Larst:

#flutelove... tho... my friend once dated this chick and mistakenly invoted her to witness our band practice. afterwards she said, you guys sound like Jethro Tull w/out the flute! said it with such vehemence. We dug it as a compliment.

I missed "Hurry On Sundown" which is one of my favorite track ever made; but i'm still glad i'm here. Tuned in from Paris (France), hello Jeff and listeners !
Avatar 4:47am Jeff Conklin:

Hey Pierre, sorry you missed it! Still some niceness to come!
Avatar 5:04am pierre:

merci for that Jeff.
  5:07am Mark:

I've never heard most of what you play, but I really dig it all! You're my official Curator of the Oscure but Marvelous.
Avatar 5:09am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, Mark. Quite an honor!
Avatar 5:13am Larst:

super ditto on Mark's comment!
Avatar 5:16am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, guys. My pleasure sharing new (and old) sounds . Makes the hellish commute here worth it.
Avatar 5:21am the Canterbury wood-elf:

@pierre Also disappointed to have missed "Hurry On Sundown". I once played in an all-acoustic Hawkwind cover band, and we got to support Hawkwind (our only gig)! Pretty rough recording here: archive.org...
Avatar 5:22am Jeff Conklin:

Nice, Canterbury!
  5:26am Mark:

Brooklyn to Jersey City is a bitch-and-a-half. Not to bum you out, but how long does it take you? I know the station's near the Path stop at least!
  5:27am P-90:

@Canterbury, that is cool. And congrats on playing a gig with Hawkwind.
Avatar 5:27am Jeff Conklin:

If the PATH isnt running like complete shit, takes me about an hour. That is rare. Going home is easier than coming in. I also live in a pretty remote section of BK accessible only by the worst train line in the system.
Avatar 5:29am pierre:

This is very very cool Canterbury Wood Elf
Avatar 5:32am Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, Jeff, and hello communicants of the Church of the Avant Ghetto.
Avatar 5:36am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, Sem
Avatar 5:55am Sem Chumbo:

The Burchill track took me back. Lovely thing, good memories of P.C.H..Thanks for that. Sweet set, altogether.
Avatar 5:56am the Canterbury wood-elf:

Thanks Jeff, glad I caught that last hour. Have a good week.
Avatar 5:57am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, Sem, and thanks to all of you hardcore commenters. Have a great week, all...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59am Ken From Hyde Park:

I've been enjoying the instrumentals this morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm Santos L Halper:

Listening on archive; that Popol Vuh was fantastische! Sounded like a draggy tape or warpy LP towards the end tho. Guess that will be a good first album to get of theirs. Thanks Jeff! And thanks also for turning me on to Agitation Free a little while back.
