  12:04pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

Hey Irene, hello to one and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hello Trudelites, Irene- my Monday afternoon ain't so bad after all!Hear you outside on the car radio in a few.
Avatar 12:28pm Andy in Berlin:

Hi Irene! Is it me or have I been hearing Leon Thomas a lot around here lately?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Irene Trudel:

Hi everybody! Glad you're here chillin' on a chilly May day. @Andy, yes you've been hearing a lot of Leon Thomas because there's a great new compilation album in WFMU's new bin. Lovin' it!
  12:35pm KP:

Hello, Irene.
Avatar 12:35pm Andy in Berlin:

His duet with Louis Armstrong on "The Creator Has A Master Plan" wouldn't happen to be on that, would it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Matt from Springfield:

Hi Irene and everyone! Always nice to chill out here, and indoors, away from the sometimes strong winds lately!
  12:43pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

Irene, I was reading on Steven Wilson's website that him and his band did a live set at the Amoeba record store,
Avatar 12:44pm Brian in UK:

Hello Irene, Andy, Matt, KP.
Kenzo has a master plan.
  12:49pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

I am a bit rusty with Divine Comedy but wasn't there a track out describing the joy of travelling on a National Express bus service?
Avatar 12:51pm Andy in Berlin:

Good evening Brian!
Avatar 12:52pm KP:

Hey Brian.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm I X Key!:

My favorite Dante translations are Robert Pinsky's Inferno, W. S. Merwin's Purgatory, & Allen Mandelbaum's Paradise
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm Matt from Springfield:

Hey Brian!
And when Kenzo's master plan is 100% complete, I'm sure he'll begin implementing master plan II.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm I X Key!:

Too bad the only translation into English of Dante's De Monarchia is an old, not very good one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Matt from Springfield:

Very thorough, I X! Wish I knew Dante that well to find just the right translations.
Avatar 12:56pm KP:

Im having trouble getting this page to fit on Safari on iphone. i cant believe im only one who uses the iphone that way. Safari supports the avs, it's more fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm Irene Trudel:

@KP, it's probably the picture at the top of the page. Anyone else having trouble with the pic?
Avatar 1:02pm Van in DC:

  1:07pm N. Cntry:

Love this! Any recommendations for some Chopin on Vinyl?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Ditto Van- Where was it taken?
Avatar 1:07pm KP:

it's not this one. Im at home right now. But noticed it yesterday and earlier. Ah, the picture could be the culprit. Well that is a concern.

Coincidentally, my iPod on shuffle this morning played Joshua Bell playing Chopin Nocturne...gives me chills every time I hear it. I saw him play that live during encore at Strathmore a few years ago...when he announced it there were a lot of ooohs and aaaahs in the crowd. It was haunting & chilling & *beautiful*.
Avatar 1:11pm Van in DC:

Ana here sounds not unlike Maggie Reilly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm I X Key!:

Good ole Irene Trudel makign an awesome Monday afternoon even better once again!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Mike East:

William Tyler was on Jeffrey's show last Saturday. It was EXCELLENT. I highly recommend both interview and performance to anyone who wants to check out the archive. Really started my day off right.
  1:23pm Jim:

what was that background music?
Avatar 1:29pm Van in DC:

Thanks Mike! I have made it a recent habit to archive listen to Jeffrey's show.
  1:36pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

@Jim, Jon Hassell, Last night the Moon came
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Irene Trudel:

@Jim, that was "Last Night the Moon Came Dropping its Clothes in the Street," title cut of an album by Jon Hassell.
  1:45pm KP:

Well now I can't use Safari. It's not the picture, the column with the posts is alongside it. It's just better using that when it works. Anyway the music is nonetheless a joy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm I X Key!:

)o: I wish I could give The Divine Comedy on the playlist a little star
  1:51pm Jim:

Thanks Irene! Enjoying the music.
Avatar 1:52pm Van in DC:

I'm in a "Lilly" by KaTe kind of frame of want today.

Ditto ditto ditto!
  3:02pm KP:

Thanks, Irene. Lovely afternoon.
  8:51pm Emily:

Absolutely loved the show, Irene! In fact, two of the favorite songs of my undergrad days were played back to back, from the Divine Comedy and Left Banke. Bliss!
Btw, can the info for Death of A Supernaturalist be added for posterity or somethin? :)

Thanks for making the week better, as always.
