Hi Irene, hello one and all
Avatar 12:06pm Van in DC:

Fashionably late, sorry, I was lost over in Jeffrey's show :)

Hi Irene and peoples!
  12:08pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

Irene, is this a new track from Becca?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm DCE:

hey Irene, nice breezes your way...
  12:10pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

Just checked, this is a 2008 release, lovely to hear this and a definite look at a download here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm G:

thanks for the pastoral :) -- that's an area i know a lot about, and i didn't know that poulenc one. (it's not in his wiki article either, or in several online discussions of classical or related music with a "pastoral" label)
  12:14pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

This is a great track by the way.
Avatar 12:40pm Sean in Bristol UK:

A perfect track for a chilled out Bank Holiday
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Mike East:

Hey Irene - you were given as an onsite contact for picking up vibes and a keyboard last Friday. Sorry if you had to stay late at work...the client didn't give us a time it needed to be picked up BY.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm SeanG:

What's the best way to combat these allergies? or do we just give in to them? -lovely show today Irene
Avatar 12:49pm Van in DC:

The keys are sounding wonderful today

  1:01pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

Great set, Irene
Avatar 1:04pm Dave E:

Hi Irene - a nice relaxing Monday afternoon . . . .ahhhhh
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm Irene Trudel:

@ Mike, no real problem there. I am usually at my workplace until at least 7pm. At issue was more the closing of the freight elevator at about 5:30pm.

@Sean, don't have much advice on allergies. I've found, for myself, that using a lot of local honey as a sweetener in tea & coffee has helped. I've tried the bee pollen route with minor results but some swear by it. Staying in with air conditioning also helps, but is not always an option. (Atchoo!)
  1:04pm Hector from Barcelona, Spain:

Amazing show, well done!
Avatar 1:05pm Dave E:

A plunger to each nostil might work. Other than that nothing effective.
Avatar 1:07pm rascal yammers:

wow, just saw that Molly Drake is Nick's mum! That was a touching song and will have to look for more and more info... thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Mike East:

I asked them no less than 3 times to find out what time the freight closed and got no response, so I just crossed my fingers. Last minute order on a Friday in the city...can expect much in the way of trucking in most cases. I'm very glad you weren't put out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Mike East:

*can't* expect much...
Avatar 1:13pm Brian in UK:

Saw Charles Lloyd & Maria Farantouri last week. It was a wonderful relaxed and giving show. I have waited forty years to hear Maria's voice live and was not disappointed. Never thought I would hear her scatting with a jazz man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Good Afternoon, No bank holiday over here, but we sure do have Irene!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm SeanG:

thanks Irene, I'll go the honey route
Avatar 1:18pm Dave E:

After that Charming disease track you should play "Everything gives you cancer" by Joe Jackson.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Irene Trudel:

@ Mike, no harm done.

I suppose I should explain to everybody else. Last Friday on Soundcheck, the *other* program I work with, we had Rachel Zeffira on and some rented equipment had a delayed pickup. But all got resolved. (She did a really nice set, by the way.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm Mike East:

@Irene - I'll check it out, for sure!
Avatar 1:39pm Van in DC:

mmmmm Gosh I love this album
Avatar 1:54pm Dave E:

Nice song!
Avatar 1:57pm northguineahills:

Yep, dug the Dawn McCarthy/Bonnie Prince Billy.
Avatar 2:05pm Van in DC:

Very nice thanks Irene
Avatar 2:10pm Dave E:

Weeping Mary and sniffling Irene!
Avatar 2:12pm uuee:

Good afternoon, Irene, and all; I was on the road when allergies came up. My doc told me to use Claritin..anti-histimine..it's OTC, but you need ID. the 12 hr claritin D works like a miracle..eye lubricant is also effective..the anti-histimine needs to reach the critical clinical limit, in your immune system to be effective....It's a drug...pseudo-epinepherene...but it WORKS!
Avatar 2:12pm Van in DC:

I'm a dedicated archive listener of Jeffrey's ... look forward to hearing!
  2:18pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

This track is a thing of beauty
Avatar 2:21pm Van in DC:

@Sean - this whole program is a thing of beauty :)
  2:24pm Sean in Bristol, UK:

@Van, I so agree.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Irene Trudel:

Aw, shucks! Everything just fell into place beautifully today. Thanks for the compliment!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Amazing early Procol... You won't hear this played on "Classic Rok"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm BDR:

From you website, a brief history of William Tyler blog.wfmu.org...
Avatar 2:34pm Yair Yona:

This is my fav Procol song Irene!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Irene Trudel:

Thanks @Kevin and @Yair! A Salty Dog is my favorite Procol Harum album-- many great tunes there!
