  9:05am Vicki:

  9:05am DCE:

hello hello!
  9:06am Lucas:

Very nice start Liz!
  9:06am green mountain man mark:

morning
  9:08am Parq:

Somehow, the name of the first band is as appropriate to this morning as the name of the first track.
  9:14am Sam:

Hey! This sounds like Mouse on Mars back when they were really good.
  9:16am HEAT:

good morning Liz and everyone
  9:17am HEAT:

thanks for playing the relaxing hits this morning, soothing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20am Liz B.:

Hope everyone is warm and basking in electricity today. It's been a long week for some here. Thankfully, the storm didn't affect my home, but WFMU is kind of up shit creek now.
  9:23am HEAT:

My family in north white plains don't have power still... tree crushed one of their cars, another went through the house's roof. I hope WFMU and everyone else who is still in the shit get out of the shit real soon
  9:24am fred:

Good morning Liz, I hope to see a wagging dog tail soon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am Liz B.:

Ugh, sorry to hear about your family, HEAT. As far as we know, all WFMU DJs are safe, but some did suffer personal damage, and some still haven't returned home.
  9:28am listener james from westwood:

i can't believe it's been a week since your last show. feels like a month. glad you're ok and that you were able to hitch a ride with nachum again!
  9:34am Andrew Waterloo:

I worry about the people who will be struggling to stay warm and dry right now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:35am Liz B.:

It does feel like last Monday was eons ago! Anyway, really glad to see you all here, very comforting.
  9:36am Lucas:

Hello Fred!!
  9:40am BSI:

cheers all...
  9:41am HEAT:

glad to hear you are doing okay! and I agree it feels like last Monday was eons ago
  9:42am terry is cooking:

Good morning!
  9:42am HEAT:

oops, I used "eons" and was like GREAT WORD, WHERE DID IT COME FROM? and apparently I read it subconsciously and then posted the same thing as you lol
  9:44am Maestroso:

I think the Mount Hope transmitter is back!
  9:47am listener james from westwood:

that is not dead which can eternal lie
and with strange aeons, even death may die
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am Liz B.:

Whoa, really Maestroso? Maybe our audio T1 is back!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am Ken:

The Mount Hope transmitter is on, but I cant deliver live audio to it yet. Right now it is airing out of phase surf guitar instrumentals.
  9:51am lewis:

morning to all - nice start to a grey (or is it gray) morning here in Mpls...
  9:51am pete L. in columbus:

hi Liz - so great that stupid hurricane didn't stop you guys for long! love your show esp. instrumental stuff, thank you, and also for promoting Free Music Archive - I found about from your show
  9:52am lewis:

@Ken - too bad I am not in the Mt Hope listening area...
  9:52am Maestroso:

Yeah, I though it sounded kinda strange...
  9:53am Marc-Olivier:

Hi Liz!
I really hope all of you start to see the end of the crap.

Cheers.
  9:55am Ken From Hyde Park:

90.1 is coming in at my house. That's a step in the right direction.
  9:57am fred von helsing:

yeay, windoze stream !
  10:07am lewis:

Ah the cloud... is that one that looks like a bunny?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am Ken:

Anybody got an in-phase iPod we can install up at Mount Hope? Maybe one with a batch of WFMU archives on it? I'm serious...
  10:09am lewis:

Here's a thought folks - you didn't spend all that cash at the record fair... Toss some or all of it into the Superstorm Fund. Thats what I did and I wasn't even planning to go to the record fair!
  10:11am BSI:

Listening from afar! Cold basement, warm FMU stream!
  10:14am BSI:

BUT, I did have the odd experience of driving through your necko the woods this weekend, including a bad episode of roadside assistance from Avis in Morris NJ. Saw much damage. Powerlines, trees, high tension in the streets.
  10:14am BSI:

JG Ballard would have been fascinated.
  10:17am Dave M.:

Mellotron? Beautiful!
  10:19am Lucas:

lewis: agree with you. A last litle boost!
  10:24am Kenzo:

Ken, go all the way with this idea: Install an iPod (or other smart phone) that can stream our public internet signal! Then we're back on the air.
  10:30am listener james from westwood:

@lewis, that's exactly what i did. figured what my transit, food, record-spending costs would be and rounded up to the next pledge level.
  10:34am david from ks:

,,,,someone just found all the good stuff to play from the last week,,,,
  10:38am Pip:

Tooooooon!
  10:40am tim from champaign:

My wife and I also pledged based on what we would have theoretically spent at the record fair.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am Liz B.:

You caught me, David! Wow, so generous of James and Tim to donate their Record Fair budget to WFMU! Much appreciated!
  10:45am Doug S.:

Listener James from Westwood, you are marvelous, really, but WFMU is not accepting donations of internal organs at this time. Please hang onto yours for the time being.
  10:45am robyn:

good to hear your show again liz. glad y'all are okay. will donate as soon as i can (next week).
  10:47am dcp:

man, quite different from USGirls. Can't figure out whether I"m on board or not...
  10:47am listener james from westwood:

don't underestimate how much you can get for healthy organs on the black market. just let me know where to draw the dotted line for the surgeon.
  10:49am SheWolf:

LOVE Talk Normal
  11:06am Carmichael:

Good morning Liz and listenerites.
  11:07am Van in DC:

I thought Kenzo's iPod idea was pretty good :)

Howdy Liz and lizeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am Liz B.:

Kenzo's idea is a great one, but there is no internet service at the 90.1 FM transmitter site unfortunately.
  11:12am Kenzo:

No cell reception at the transmitter site?
  11:12am robyn:

loving jeff and jane.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13am Liz B.:

There might be cell service up there, Kenzo... Or maybe Ken could get a 4G card and a router plugged in up there.
  11:16am Kenzo:

Exactly. Use a laptop or smartphone and get the stream with a cell signal.
  11:29am david from ks:

,,,dis goil has zo much Class!!
  11:29am tim from champaign:

Man, I got to admit I'm already thinking about dinner. I'm making butternut squash tacos with sauteed veggies, spinach and pepperjack cheese.
  11:35am robyn:

@tim that is one of the most delicious things i've read about in a while. dang.
  11:38am MD:

'FMU Is the LIGHT and the HEAT...!!!!
  11:40am tim from champaign:

Thanks Robyn!
  11:43am kevin:

Thank u liz! I just pledged and left yr name off the thank u comment. sorry!
  11:43am dcp:

nice tim, I gotta try that. Just made some sauteed butternut w/ herbs over pasta the other night.

Liz, this set rules.
  11:44am dcp:

meant last set--forgot to post my comment from a few minutes ago...
  11:45am tim from champaign:

Yes, Legendary Wings! From my old hometown of Kalamazoo, MI! My good buddy who's friends with the band said this whole album was written by the bass player and is a big love letter to his wife. Also, the Billy Crystal/Meg Ryan photo on the back cover of the LP is sincere. Dude really loves Billy Crystal movies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am Liz B.:

No worries, thanks so much Kevin!
  11:49am Kevin from Urbana:

Hey Tim from champaign. Nice to see another C/U person here
  11:51am tim from champaign:

Good to see you too, Kevin!
  11:52am Kevin from Urbana:

Next time we should carpool to the record fair when it goes. I was supposed to be there this year for the first time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am Liz B.:

Fantastic love letter of a record... starts off with a song called "Nachos"!
  11:59am spud boy:

FYI - Ty will be on Letterman tonight
