Liz! Good morning. You are a bad ass for making it to the station with everything closing down.
  Mon. 10/29/12 9:04am DCE:

cheers to you, Liz! all the stockbrokers called off today!
Avatar    Mon. 10/29/12 9:06am Liz B.:

Hi everyone, happy to be here (but kinda hope I can get home today)! Didn't wanna miss out on Singles Going Steady week!
  Mon. 10/29/12 9:11am Skirkie:

How in the heck did you get there?
Mon. 10/29/12 9:12am Chris from DC:

Worst thing about the storm so far: the likely cancellation of Sic Alps tonight.
Avatar    Mon. 10/29/12 9:13am Liz B.:

I rode the Nachum Segal Express in to JC today. Thanks Nachum!
Mon. 10/29/12 9:13am Ken From Hyde Park:

Now I'm getting an image of WFMU DJs stockpiling in the basement. They can get to the station, but they can't get out.
  Mon. 10/29/12 9:24am DCE:

hearing and liking a lot of this new Woods disc
  Mon. 10/29/12 9:26am B23:

It started yeasterday.

Jörgen, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and if that doesn't work, e-mail me with info about your iPhone problem (which iOS you have, etc)... lizb [at] wfmu [dot] org
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:07am SW76:

Hunkered & battened down here not far from JC. Stay safe & Liz & co.
Mon. 10/29/12 10:10am green mountain man mark:

My wfmu iphone app needs to be deleted and installed again periodically. As do a lot of other unrelated apps. They just get bunged up once in awhile, especially the ones that get used the most.
Mon. 10/29/12 10:12am fred von helsing:

I'll ask the obvious question... About how high is WFMU HQ above sea level ? There's no tellin' from a satellite view

If that is itchy insulation around that guy's head that is scary.

motor boat??
Avatar    Mon. 10/29/12 10:19am Liz B.:

Fred, WFMU is in a low-lying area, but I think we missed the evacuation zone by about a block. Mark, the costume is made with poly fill, safe as a pillow.
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:20am amEdeo:

Yeah, I think I heard Nachum say something to that effect during his program. Whatever the case, sounds like the station is pretty close.
Mon. 10/29/12 10:21am fred von helsing:

is it too late to stock up on indestructible "food" (spam and twinkies)
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:22am miss v:

Liz you are awesome!
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:24am Andrew Waterloo:

Is there anyway of clearing out the cache on the iPhone?
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:27am jörgen:

Thanx Liz B.
I <3 WFMU.
Best, Jörgen
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:28am Moe:

Great set of music... Waiting for the hurricane...
Mon. 10/29/12 10:39am green mountain man mark:

VT is expected to get a lot of high winds and the "authorities" do not seem to be concerned as much about flooding like last year's Irene. I secured everything down. Moved crap around in our garage to fit both cars. Need to remember to bring and keep the cats in.
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:42am Tim Serpas:

Sounds like a track from Star Control II.
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:43am john:

I am almost as concerned about WFMU as I am about my family out that way. :/ I hope the station stays as dry as possible...
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:47am duke:

Pluto is still a planet in my book and a good tune also.
  Mon. 10/29/12 10:48am gerardo:

Hola, Liz!. Hi everyone!. John just took words outta my mouth. Stay safe, cabros!!

Julie so good to hear your voice, somehow I knew I'd be hearing you during the storm! Do you know if Clay is going to be making any appearances before Thursday?

  Mon. 10/29/12 11:20am Faye:

kudos Liz! loved this Household record.
  Mon. 10/29/12 11:23am Irene:

Hey Liz! Sorry to do this to you (and the Listeners) but I decided won't be driving out to WFMU for my show. After listening to the warnings of my Hoboken/JC friends, I've decided not to go. Since the Holland Tunnel is now closing at 2pm, the Lincoln won't be far behind. I'm worried about getting stranded in NJ. So sorry!
Avatar    Mon. 10/29/12 11:24am Liz B.:

No worries, Irene... think I found a car service that will take me home!
  Mon. 10/29/12 11:29am Skirkie:

  Mon. 10/29/12 11:29am Irene:

Good luck!
  Mon. 10/29/12 11:29am Skirkie:

Oh, you guys are on that already. Back to work for me.
  Mon. 10/29/12 11:30am NathanR:

Liz sorry, I realized it was you and not Julie right after I posted my comment, I could only hear the radio in the background at first. Love your show!
  Mon. 10/29/12 11:33am Carmichael:

Yee Haw, it's hurricane time. I think y'all will fare just fine, because downtown is strong and FMUers are of hearty stock. Just keep a monkey back at the studio to fling records on and off, and take refuge in your fortified bunker.
  Mon. 10/29/12 11:34am Nietzsche:

Whatever does not destroy WFMU only makes it stronger

Don't know if I am going to make it for the record fair this year. Things going on. Plus this storm has stopped the amtrak train down and don't know when that will be back up.
