Avatar 3:16am Bill Mac:

Whatsup Mr Jay! Yeah baby, what a nice way to start the show. Nice here, but rain is on the way and it's getting cold tomorrow. It was nice last weekend but I'm glad to be back. Where are you all at?! Happy Saturday!
  3:23am Jay/ London:

well bill not a lot yet just chillin i watched a doc last night called Paul is Dead about how paul mccarnety died in a car crash in 1966 and the band put clues in the albums about him being dead

Avatar 3:25am Bill Mac:

Avatar 3:29am Bill Mac:

  3:30am Jay/ London:

Have you seen the film yet ?
Avatar 3:33am Bill Mac:

  3:36am Jay/ London:

  3:42am Looms:

Good morning there!
Avatar 3:51am Bill Mac:

  3:56am Jay/ London:

  3:58am Brian in UK:

Mornin' Barnacle Bill 'n Jay 'n Looms.
  4:00am Jay/ London:

morning looms and Brian hard to see the screen as sun is on it
Avatar 4:05am Bill Mac:

i guess it stopped raining. Hey Brian!
  4:15am Looms:

why is it so hard to wake up today? I'm as quick as a snail :(
Avatar 4:16am Bill Mac:

I'm feeling a bit creaky myself... pogo slowly
  4:23am Looms:

Had the chance th see Quintron and Miss Pusscat live about 10 years ago, they were so funny I still remember the show very well. But why did Quintron spit so much?
Avatar 4:27am Bill Mac:

I saw them at ATP a couple weeks ago. They were pretty funny, did a 20 minute puppet show to start. Technical problems shortened the music performance, but they were fun to see. They were on Liz Bergs show recently.
  4:28am Brian in UK:

I felt tired all week, think it is the change of seasons. Nothing to do with my age!!
Avatar 4:30am Bill Mac:

certainly not!
  4:36am Looms:

Please don't speak about age, I'll be 40 in 3 weeks... Boohoo!
  4:38am Brian in UK:

I went out earlier to take the dog to the woods for a walk. I was going to drive. The key transponder did not work so I took him locally. Usual thoughts I need this like a third armpit. Just realised I picked up my daughters' key, she has a Peugeot as well. Pratt.
Avatar 4:38am Bill Mac:

Boohoo indeed! I have socks that are 40...
  4:40am Brian in UK:

Looms you are a mere slip of a lad. Sorry that probably does not translate very well.
Avatar 4:41am Bill Mac:

Did the socks comment make sense? Pull my finger!
  4:41am Brian in UK:

Brian Wilson Shock Treatment.
Brian Jones Town Massacre.

Love it.
  4:44am Brian in UK:

Bill, that was inadvertant product placement earlier, if you saw the cars you would understand.
Avatar 4:46am Bill Mac:

I've seen a couple Peugeots in my time.... did I get that part right?

Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments - doesn't have the same ring as the other two
  4:48am Looms:

About your key story, we're brothers in unefficiency this morning, Brian :D
Don't understand your "mere slip of a lad" joke, sorry.

@Bill, yes, think I got it (he he he)
  4:51am Looms:

@Brian: okay, just found a translation! Happy to feel so young :/
Avatar 4:51am Bill Mac:

That's ineffiency Looms ;p
  4:52am Looms:

you prove me right, sport :(
  4:56am Brian in UK:

It is a compliment, Looms.

Don van Vliet's real name was Brian.
  4:59am Jay/ London:

is this any help Bill The Singing Dogs was a musical recording project under whose name two 45rpm singles were released in the 1950s.

The idea for the Singing Dogs came from Don Charles, a record producer working in Copenhagen, Denmark (not the same person as an English record producer also named Don Charles).[1] He made recordings of four dogs barking (their names were Dolly, Pearl, Caesar, and King), spliced them on reel-to-reel tape, and arranged the pitches to the tune of the Stephen Foster song "Oh! Susanna". This was eventually released by RCA Victor as the A-side on a 7" single, with the B-side a medley of "Pat-a-Cake", "Three Blind Mice", and "Jingle Bells". The novelty record became a hit, reaching #22 on the US Billboard Pop Singles chart.[1] The disc eventually sold over half a million copies.[2] In 1956, the troupe of dogs (with a fifth member, Pussy) were again recorded, yielding the single "Hot Dog Rock 'n Roll" b/w "Hot Dog Boogie".

The portion of the medley containing "Jingle Bells" became the project's most famous (or infamous) song, getting regular media exposure during the Christmas and holiday season.

Years later, the American record producer Craig Huxley produced his own version of the Singing Dogs,
  5:05am Looms:

Acting stupid? WRONG! I'm acting normal.
  5:06am Brian in UK:

Funny, I just put The Byrds version of Oh Susannah on a mixtape (CD)
Avatar 5:07am Bill Mac:

So sorry, I was speaking for myself, although stupid IS the new normal.
  5:07am Jay/ London:

nothing wrong in acting stupid Looms can be fun !
  5:08am Looms:

That's what I say everytime I hear the news, Bill.
  5:09am Brian in UK:

Here's a really useless fact, our third daugther was born exactly 25 years to the day after Mr Tambourine Man was recorded. That was the record that turned my head if you know what I mean. It's still spinning.
Avatar 5:09am Bill Mac:

@Brian That would be an interesting concept for a theme show - novelty covers from rock bands
Avatar 5:13am Bill Mac:

So of course I use that useless fact to play a song that has nothing to do with Mr Tambourine Man... thanks for that!
  5:14am Brian in UK:

They also did 'We'll Meet Again' a troops favourite from WW11. Not sure where irony figures on McGuinns radar.
  5:16am Brian in UK:

Did The Partridge Family ever cover 'The Gift'
  5:24am AnneDD:

hi Jay
  5:26am Jay/ London:

Hi anne dd nice to see you here :)

  5:28am Jay/ London:

Avatar 5:29am Bill Mac:

Hi Anne!
  5:32am AnneDD:

  5:32am AnneDD:

hi Bill
  5:34am Jay/ London:

@ anneDD music makes the world a better place ... come to London
  5:36am Andy in Berlin:

@ Brian - Partridge Family no, but Ergo Phizmiz did using a Donald Duck voice for the narration. A theoretically funny idea but the duck voice made it totally unintelligible.
  5:36am olow:

I hate your radio chanel
  5:36am AnneDD:

@ Jay : well I'm thinking of it seriously : i might come for a week-end this winter
  5:38am Jay/ London:

@ anneDD email me about it, be great to see you
  5:39am AnneDD:

  5:39am AnneDD:

funny piece
  5:41am Brian in UK:

John Cale's Welsh lilt was just sublime on the original.
Waldo Jeffers was as dumb as Sylvia Avery.
  5:44am Brian in UK:

Think it is time for some breakfast. Cannot stay around here lallygagging all day.
  5:45am Jay/ London:

Avatar 5:45am Bill Mac:

That's not Lou?
I know what you mean boy, time to eat... I'll see you next week.
Avatar 5:46am Bill Mac:

  5:48am Brian in UK:
