Listener comments!

  9:13am Steve:

Isn't "The Nightingale" on that Jo Stafford album? A song which served as a melodic template for Dylan's "With God On Our Side"
  9:27am Destroit:

Write back, great track.
  9:40am whattawino:

The TV show w/Sandy Becker was Wonderama...I learned of
Hambone there too!
  10:03am suea:

lenny kaye will be in strousdburg pa today. Main Street Jukebox. The store burned down around 6 years ago and was reborn. amazing that it was possible.
  10:06am Doug Schulkind:

Hi Bob,
I'll be gamboling over to Jerry's Records (http://www.jerrysrecords.com/) here in Pittsburgh. Miraculously, I live only two blocks away. Jerry's is still fiercely vinyl only. In fact, one large segment of the place is devoted to 78s and another to turntable repair.
  10:06am e. p. dowd:

Mystery Train in Amherst, MA; Turn It Up! in Northampton, MA; Instant Karma in Orleans, MA
  10:07am Wendy del Formaggio:

To celebrate Record Store Day, I'm going to In The Moment Records and Turn It Up! in Brattleboro, Vermont. Look for me, I'm wearing my "Escuche!" FMU shirt. :-)
  10:08am Wendy del Formaggio:

e.p. - I haven't been to Mystery Train since I moved back. So glad it's still there!
  10:12am mrmucho:

even though I'm not going to either today, I'll rep for Flip Side Records in Pompton Lakes, NJ and also Infinity Records in Massapequa Park, NY.
  10:14am Hugh Curtis:

Bob, good morning,
I saw THE very first Sandy Becker show,---Wonderama--1st host, on Dumont Broadcasting, ch. 5. Loved him ever since.
  10:14am Mike East:

Hey mrmucho - I'm in Pompton Plains, across the highway. Haven't heard of Flip Side. Where's it at?
  10:16am mrmucho:

the Flip Side is on Wanaque Ave, towards the north side of town. It's mostly used vinyl.
  10:17am scott:

Sandy Becker hosted Wonderama briefly in the mid-'50s, but he's better remembered for his own show. The two long-term Wonderama hosts were Sonny Fox, who hosted for much of the '60s, and Bob McAllister, who replaced him in 1967 and hosted until the show ended in the mid-'70s
  10:18am Dave in PA:

The Blacksmith!
  10:21am Lucas:

So beautiful
  10:24am Mike East:

nice! that's mostly what I buy...usually at Sound Exchange on 23, but their aisles are really narrow, and the records are on the floor underneath the cd racks. It kills the knees!
  10:26am whattawino:

Vinyl Revolution in Monteray, CA is THE best and Bob Gamber is THE man! Go check 'em out today!
  10:29am mrmucho:

you'll do a bit of flexing at Flip Side too since it's a small store, but its prices and stock destroy Sound Exchange. It's not even close.
  10:31am Mike East:

cool. Thanks so much for the tip. I'll definitely be checking it out. Gonna try to head to Generation Records in the city today. Some FMU djs spinning this afternoon.
  10:39am Malcolm:

Love this show!
  10:39am rick:

  10:53am Marc Grobman:
