Have taser drones ever been used in the field for any purpose successfully?

(in ALL IN THE FAMILY, archie said you could stop all plane hijackings by giving all passengers a gun. so ya hear "hijack" and anyone can shoot the guy. sure)

Bright yellow with glowing eye? Well at least it doesn't present the shooter with a clear target

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27pm
The Butterman:

Have you seen these little drone plane obstacle course competitions? They’re amazing. Just put little laser guns in them. They’re extremely fast and agile. Easy!
Seriously though, I’m a teacher and I can guarantee you that if they armed me I would have dispatched at least one former and VERY sketchy former student who got into our building to “use the bathroom “. I would have had him at gunpoint upon seeing him.

Remember seeing the DVD at my local Wal-Mart three years ago around this time. A year later, I got to see a bit of it. The nerdy nostalgiafest in between the snuff scenes took away any further interest in continuing to keep watching.

Tasers are often ineffectual either by failing to penetrate the clothing and skin with both prongs or even when a good connection is achieved, the shooter is not disabled by the shock. Great in theory, notoriously flawed in reality.

  6:44pm
Androu B.:

Back on topic...

So cops can no longer carry poortable tasers, yet they can now use drones that carry tasers to detain potential shooters. But the question still remains: Will this tech lessen the chance of racial profiling in deterring gun crime? My inner 8-Ball says "LIKELY NOT".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45pm

Well, tasers being ineffective only paves the way for death lasers....or buckets of acid

oh, i just remebered this. a taser used, and it worked TOO WELL, nypd 2008 -

As an ESU officer was in the process of securing himself on the second-floor fire escape, Morales jabbed at him with an eight-foot long florescent light. An ESU lieutenant directed another ESU officer on the sidewalk to employ a Conducted Energy Device (CED), commonly known as a Taser, against Morales, who fell to the sidewalk, striking his head. He was removed to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
